5 College Junior

Campus Housing: IUS has the best housing I have seen for any college in Indiana. They are very new, clean, and spacious. They are basically apartments, instead of tiny dorm rooms.

4 College Junior

Diversity: There is quite a bit of diversity on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Close to many food locations in all varieties and most offer the use of your U card.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I'm underage and not truly involved in the party scene.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: We have a dining hall but they do not tend to the late night students, like myself. I have attended this school for almost four years and never got to try the food.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Everyone truly is a team. They provide great support and seem to have a lot of fun!!

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Professors are really involved and truly focus on the academics. I love being able to contact professors via email with questions and having then respond efficiently. It's a great experience!

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I live with my parent but my friends found great apartments.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: They could use some additional night classes and online class but I US is working hard at making that aspect better. The education is great and the professors are really helpful!

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Back to the later classes, I work full time and being a business major you have a lot of courses required and it is hard to fulfill them when you can't get enrolled due to work schedule conflicts.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The police center is always open. There are a lot of stations the connect to the police office in case of danger. Constant university police making rounds and making us all feel safe. I have been at school till midnight at times and I feel safe.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Lots of places to study and socialize. Great library and spacious computer labs. The desk in the classrooms could be bigger but all in all a very modern comfortable campus.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Applying for financial aid is easy and takes very little time. The financial aid given to students is based on family iincome and even though I live with family, the do not financially support me. I pay for school and pretty much anything I want or need. Due to this, the financial aid I receive makes it hard to take classes. Recently it has gotten better due to the drop in my father's income, but I make 13000 a year and it does not help much.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Quiet and peaceful. Close to pretty much everything. Great size campus and close to food and shopping. Very convent and there are parks really close to campus.

1 College Junior

Campus Dining: Never open on weekends, closes at 7. Those living on campus have to cook for themselves or go off campus.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Some people attend games, but it's not all that common. Most go if they have friends on the team.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Absolutely no party atmosphere, which is nice for studying and grades, but in such a quiet town, some small parties would be nice.

1 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: New Albany isn't exactly a 'small' town, but it definitely has a small town vibe. You know there isn't much to do if a Walmart trip is the most exciting thing to look forward to. I do not personally have a car, and there is only one bus that services the IUS campus. Sidewalks are non-existent directly outside of the campus, so walking is very dangerous. Transportation is virtually impossible without a car.

1 College Junior

Health & Safety: There is no on-campus health center and no school nurse's station.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Never got too much of a chance to socialize outside of class/room mates.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Really great selection of rooms (4 bed, 2 bath, 4 person is what I stayed in), but a VERY poor social environment. Most residents go home on the weekend. I'm from California, and wasn't able to leave every weekend. No one leaves their apartments.

3 College Junior

Majors: Sociology program is okay. Hope to continue taking teacher I love.

College Junior

Majors: No pre- major for Soc.

4 College Junior

Academics: I've had some of the most passionate and incredible professors here. Of course I've had some iffy ones, and a few nightmares. But the good teachers made a real lasting impression on me, and I'll never forget them.

3 College Junior

Academics: As a Sociology major, take the advice of fellow students to make sure you get a passionate teacher. I've had a few professors that were just boring. You'll want to have a teacher that can pick at your brain rather than just read from a textbook.
