1 College Junior

Career Services: None existent and if there are any if these "programs" I never heard of them my 3 years there.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid process is fairly simple once you do it the first time. I did not qualify for any of the grants here but I would always get the BOG which would cover all of my tuition all I had to pay out of pocket for were my books. If you need help with your FAFSA then I strongly suggest you go in to their Financial Aid Office and see one of their counselors.

Student Body: There are some people who come here sole to get money through financial aid and do the bare minimum to get though the semester. There are also people here who just want to transfer/graduate and move on in their education.

Overall Experience: I've taken some excellent courses here that I have learned so much and there were a couple of them that were very interesting but did not help me in the long run and also those courses that I still have nightmares about. I think it all comes down to what you are personally interested in and who is teaching the course. There are some great teachers at IVC but I have taken classes from a couple of teachers that make me ask myself why are they teaching here. There are a lot of classes to choose from but if you are one of the last to register then it could be a hassle to get into a required course, general education required courses. The class sizes are some what ridiculous but that's how it is at all community colleges.

Overall Experience: Lets face it, most people are here to get there general education requirements over with because it is much cheaper to do than going to a university and doing them there. Most people just want to graduate and go to a university or transfer to a university. If you are looking to get an AA in a field then thus is the place to go but if you want a BA or MA then look elsewhere.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think it is good. They always supports you with the financial process. When something is not going good they call you and explain to you whats going on withe the process.
