4 College Freshman

Facilities: The facilites on campus are amazing.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: The school is a small community everyone kind of know everyone . It's home.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Wesleyan has a beautiful campus. The library is a great place to study.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Our facilities in general are fairly nice- modern and new. However, since most of the classes are small, sometimes it's tough to find open spots to study or work on assignments. Our library has what people call the "Beauty and the Beast room" because it's a circular bookshelf room like seen in the movies. Its gorgeous!

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Our quad is a popular spot for students to hang out and commonly have activities such as frisbee, football, and water balloons. The fact that our school only has roughly 2200 students makes some of these activities less than perfect, but are still fun nonetheless. Our athletic center was recently renovated and has wonderful workout areas. There are always students there, taking advantage of this. There are usually activities planned for weekends, such as movie showings, concerts, and comedians. Every fall there is a big-name performer that comes to our school, and are usually pretty good, even if not well-attended.

The most regularly used facilities on campus are extremely new. The buildings housing the fine arts departments were recently renovated, and a new classroom building is in the works. There is not a building on campus that is in bad condition, with the sole exception being Kemp Hall. A few of the other small halls that are converted from old manors suffer the same problems, but not to the extent that Kemp does.

Most of campus was built within the last 15 years. Buildings turn the lights on for you when you approach classrooms, they flush the toilet and run water without the touch of a button, and they regulate energy expenditures in order to be environmentally friendly. Most of the buildings have wireless Internet access, and every building has a lounge area incorporated in one form or another for studying. The facilities at IWU are equal parts luxurious and functional, without being overly elaborate. Construction is scheduled to continue, so within a few years, the campus may have entirely newly built facilities.

Passover Party: Every year, Passover is celebrated by a small group of students, both Jewish and Gentile. The gathering isn't a widespread event, but it has occurred every year for many years past. The celebration consists of a strange game of hide-and-seek accompanied by a night of partying. The only reason it's celebrated as Passover is because spring is on the way.
Urban Legends
It is suspected that a ghost haunts Kemp Hall. This is mostly due to unexplained sounds that originate in the hidden staircase on the northeast end of the building. Also, if you're on the third floor, the acoustics of the building make it sound like there's an entire ballroom of people on the first floor, when there may only be three or four students in the conference room.
Favorite Things To Do
There's usually a movie or two showing around campus, a popular option everywhere, but that's just the beginning. Free concerts at the Musical Arts Center are appealing, as are the operas and ballets performed there. The IU Auditorium consistently brings in big-name individual acts like Bill Cosby, Ani DiFranco, and George Carlin, along with shows such as Stomp, Rent, and Miss Saigon. All major theater productions put on by the theater department are presented in the McPherson Theater. Student readings and independent productions take place in the Underground, which is down the stairs from Starbucks. Much smaller, low-key presentations and installations are staged in the Phoenix Theater, a much smaller gallery behind the Underground. The most popular place on campus for at least a few months out of the year is undeniably the Assembly Hall, where the men's basketball team takes on its opponents.
