5 College Sophomore

Transportation: There are many ways for people to get around on campus. Multiple CTA buses run on or just off of campus. The red and green lines are a short walk away. The red line is 24-hours, so you'll never be stranded in the city.

If you don't feel like taking public transit, you can rent Divvy bikes, which have cheap rates, or rent an iGo car or a Zipcar. Overall, excellent range of options.

Transportation: transportation is great, you get the upass and are allowed to us CTA for free. The green line is across the street from main buildings and dorms. Buses run all the time. student parking is expensive but your car would be safe and secure.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: With the CTA U-Pass it is relatively easy to get around using the Chicago public transportation system. The campus itself is quite small so easiest transportation is foot. However if you are worried late at night, public safety can come and drop you off in your dorm.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: The CTA U-pass is the best thing ever. If you need to go anywhere the U-pass can get you there through either the greenline (which runs right through campus) or the red line or the buses. Every student receives one at the start of each semester and the price is included in the fees.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Public transportation is pretty good around IIT. It is 2 blocks away from the Red Line CTA, and Metra Rock Island Train. It is also directly underneath a Green Line CTA Stop. CTA buses also run through State St, 35th, and LaSalle St.

The only thing that is bad about transportation is that parking for commuters is sparse and very expensive.
