I would say that the MTCC, the Paul Galvin library, Herman Hall, Idea Shop and Crown Hall offer a unique architectural feel to the campus that I would say you won't find anywhere else.
The academic facilities are worse for wear. The labs look decent, but the facades of the buildings are in need of a serious makeover. However, in a few years, they will be completely renovated.
If you think that all professors live in the lap of luxury, think again. The offices of the adjuncts look as if they doubled as storage closets. I'm hoping that those places are involved in the renovation as well.
The MTCC, Herman Hall, Crown and the Paul Galvin library as well as the Idea Shop are the best looking buildings on campus that have a great modern feel.
In terms of the gym, the upper level looks great but, the lower level could use a bit of a makeover. The fitness machine area looks like a prison cell.
not so involved in it
This is one of the few areas in which IIT is lacking. Hardly anyone shows up to games or even talks about them besides the athletes themselves. Once, they even offered free food to anyone who came to try and entice people.
The gym is well-stocked with equipment, but it is in a concrete room on the bottom floor, which makes it pretty dreary. The basketball and badminton courts are nice though.
I would say that the labs are pretty good. Most of the computers have what you need. However, only one lab has Autodesk Inventor on their computers, which sucks since it's on the other side of campus. Otherwise, the computers are well-maintained and fast.
They offer free printing credit, and if you live in MSV, you have 24 hour access to a printing station. The station only offers black and white prints, which should be good for everyday use. If you need color head on over to the library or the MTCC.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
