Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

ISU is what someone might call "one of a kind." It has the city setting without actually being in a huge city. It is an institution with diverse programs, qualified professors, and a field of interest for any student. And although it is an Idaho university with an Idaho environment, out-of-state and international students are welcome and included. There is a club or student organization for everybody, and if that isn't your cup of tea, there is always the great Idaho outdoors to enjoy.

ISU has a wonderful hometown feel with multiple opportunities available. The student experience at ISU, and probably any college or university, really comes down to what the student wants out of it. Pocatello can be viewed as an amazingly boring town, or it can be a fun, chill place to just lay back and enjoy life. That is definitely the word for Pocatello and ISU life in general—chill. For the most part, students and professors are laid-back and easy-going. The ISU experience is what students make of it, but most likely that experience will be one of great memories and good times in good ol' Idaho.

Facilities: We have tons of campus events every year--reaching over 8000! Between the movie theater and bowling alley on campus and all of the student events they hold every week...there is no way to be bored!! They are a ton of fun and a great way to spend your free time. One of my favorite traditions here is Bengal Wednesday! Happens every Wednesday (obviously) and you wear your bengal gear or colors and you can get free stuff!! Water bottles, pop/energy drinks, candy, more bengal gear....it's awesome!!!

Facilities: We have a rendezvous center that contains classes and study areas and dorm rooms. It also has a food court area.

4 College Senior

Facilities: We have many activities such as concerts, game nights, clubs, or sport games.

Overall Experience: The school does a lot of activities such as plays, games, clubs, or concerts. I would choose my school because of the programs and the location that it is in.

Local Atmosphere: There are not many attractions here but there are some. There are many other cities close by that people can drive to to meet their needs. The shopping is not that great, but everyone here seems to be really nice.
