3 College Junior

Greek Life: The Greek life is almost non-existent. There are two for girls and one for guys. They don't do anything for ISU except act a bit snobby.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: The Greek Life on campus is making a comeback. The campus is still trying to figure out how to deal with social vs. cultural vs professional and whether to have all under the same council or start their own councils. Greek organizations are more active than other organizations and help out with campus life a lot.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: The sororities and fraternities on campus do lots of cool stuff on campus. They have Fun Run 5K's for their philanthropies, one group hands out roses during Valentine's day, and more.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: The people in Greek life aren't very nice and it has no affect on the campus life.

Greek Life: This is another area that I'm not entirely sure about. I've been approached once about joining a fraternity, but declined the invitation.

Greek life at ISU is not extremely popular. Most students don't even know that there are any fraternities or sororities on campus at all. The fact that the majority of the student body is LDS definitely adds to it, but it also just comes down to the fact that Greek life never has been a big attraction for ISU students. But this is not to say that things can't change. ISU Greek life is changing all the time.

All of the fraternities and sororities have joined together under one common mission: to change the perception of students' view of Greek life and show what they can do for each individual. The ISU Greek organizations are a major part of the service projects on campus and in the community. ISU Greek life is different than most university Greek organizations. ISU is strictly a dry campus. The fraternities still hold their own events with alcohol, but they claim to do it responsibly through designated drivers and alcohol awareness events. The sororities claim to be strictly dry sororities. Even though these Greeks may not be drunken, crazy partiers, they still find ways to help out and have their own kind of fun.

  • The fraternities are known for the crazy Homecoming floats in the Homecoming parade every year. This is definitely something to look forward to!
