3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Walking to and from campus is really dim even on campus near the library is scary at night.

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus and in the town

2 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The settlement concerning that one UPD officer reflects poorly on the others as it makes me feel unsafe and the concern for women who have been sexually assaulted is poor.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There are not many things that happen on campus. I do feel very safe here. but most crimes happen off campus in off campus parties and sexual assault/date rape is one of them. HSU has recently launched a club called "Check it" and its for people to be knowledgeable of consent, what it means, and to check situations in parties where it seems like someone or you might get in trouble. Rape is a serious problem everywhere and I am glad my school is doing something about it. besides that there are just those people that get OD in their rooms but I havent heard of anyone getting attacked in the dorms. One of the strict rules here are always keeping the door shut and never opening it for strangers. People without their IDs (your ID is your key) can't get in and that will be their fault but you will be safe.
