5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I did not know that I would enjoy this college as much as I have. Great staff who are willing to help any and everyone.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office has helped me through some tough stuff. I really cannot begin to explain how grateful I am. I would not be taking any classes had they not made a few exceptions on their part. For that I thank them.

Academic Flexibility: I have enjoyed this past school year. I have met great people and my teachers are all pretty awesome. I will miss them next year. I hope that they bring the same experience to others that was brought to me.

Academic Experience: Just need more programming courses

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Advisors change frequently and they each tell you something different.

Academic Experience: I will start classes in the fall at Howard college

Campus Resources: Right now printing is free. But I think that is changing in fall 2013. Wireless is hit or miss, depends on where you are and how many people are on the network. We do need a larger computer lab, but that will be coming with the new buildings.

Campus Resources: No sports; but we do have lots of clubs. And we are getting two new buildings to expand our campus! I think to be involved with campus activites you have to be involved with a club. Other wise you only have "activites" when the SGA is doing something for the students.

Campus Resources: Howard College San Angelo because of its diversity we seem to have very little cliques. To me, everybody seems to get along with everybody. I have never been approched by random strangers before going to this school. And it's awesome!

Student Body: The school is small, which has it's good points and bad. I love how small it is because you know everybody students, faculty, and staff. I don't like how small it is because the classes are limited. But the good definatly out weigh the bad! The crowd at Howard San Angelo is very diverse. Everybody from the high school student to grandma. It's weird to me that I am never the youngest and never the oldest. I like it!

Campus Resources: The Hawk's Nest is a cafe at Howard and it is so cute and cozy! Drop by there before your 8 AM class to grab some coffee and a delicious homemade breakfast burrito or hang out with friends after practice-- It's great. The service is fantastic and it's like you're with family as soon as you step in. Also, if you don't have money with you, you can put your orders on a tab and pay it when you can.

Campus Resources: To preface my review, I should first mention that I am a theatre major and have spent my high school years plus my college years working in the theatre department. These six years have been spent in an edgy black box theatre that allows actors to be personal with the audience, but the design is hardly practical as the light booth's view of the stage is almost completely obstructed and the space given in the backstage area is barely enough to scoot past each other during performances.

3 College Senior

Student Body: As far as socialization and friendliness goes, Howard College students size up pretty well. However, speaking to members of the student body could make one feel like they are attending the "13th grade" rather than college.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: there are many computers available to all students and te internet connection is great.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The office staff and financial aid staff are great, but overworked. They are hard to reach during high in demand times and don't return calls. There is a lack of info on the web so you MUST go into the office.

3 College Junior

Student Body: My school consists of a mix of just out of high school kids, second career people and non-traditional older students. There are many different backgrounds of people.

Campus Resources: Network Has Issues – I went back to school with the hopes of switching careers so I could be home with my family more. I'm hoping I can get a job in my field, but I'm not confident because I don't have much real world experience in the new field. I might have to move to find a job because it seems like the local market is saturated with college grads who want to stay in this area.

4 College Student

Academic Experience: Classes Are Interesting – I'm a business major, and my classes are exactly what i expected so far.

2 College Student

Tuition & Financial Aid: Don't Procrastinate – My eductation is well worth the money I'm paying. I got money saved up for the bank which helps. I'm fine with my expenses because I know my degree will make the difference in my career. I couldn't find the right forms for financial aid forms.

4 College Student

Campus Resources: Good Classes, Small Campus – I like at howard because their campus was tiny. It is easier to find the classes than at Angelo State University. At Angelo State University, It was a big campus and I always get lost. I always went to the wrong classroom. I hated big campus. They do have activites at howard.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: This is a great college. There is support from the staff, smaller class size, and opportunity to transfer.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: I Love Taking Classes Online – My online classes have been my favorite courses. I am able to work in my own time frame and work ahead on assignments.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Small Frustration – In my first semester, there was a small mix-up between professor and students that made the whole semester rough. Students did not have the correct books. The class was supposed to be in-class, but instead it was a distance learning class. No one was prepared of warned about the change. This has been the only problem I have encountered.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Go to Class – Online classes are really hard to take, alot of work for the student, however with hard work we are able to do anything.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The Friendly School – Howard College is the school I chose to start my American college experience, since I am from Brazil, everyone here helped me around when I had trouble in English, and now I just like this place where everybody WILL help you if you need it, it makes the difference.
