3 College Senior

Student Body: Everyone that I have met is great although there are some people who do not recognize that this is an institution for learning.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: I use the library and computer lab the most. Excellent.

Campus Resources: Everything on campus is great except for paying to make copies.

Career Services: Have not visited yet but heard good reviews from students.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: There were several sections for general classes, which made it easy to schedule around my working hours.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Though it is a community college, the education is great. It is what you make of it.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are very helpful and knowledgable in their field. However, there should be more class sections in Gen Bio, Chem and Physics.

3 College Senior

Facilities: There are some great modern implications on campus.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I took an Abnormal Psychology class over the winter session.

5 College Senior

Facilities: Housatonic Community College is among the best for campus life. The scenery is nice, socializing is easy, the art majors are extremely friendly and are the life of the campus. They bring color and imagination everywhere, to every class (even non art classes).

4 College Senior

Online Courses: It depends on the professors, but most of it seems to be self paced work, with great help online.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Compared to all the other universities and colleges, the tuition is reasonable. For the same education that you'd get at a fancy university for 40k+, you get at Housatonic Community College. The financial aid office is nice, they are always willing to help and explain things to you, even help walk you through it or give your directions on how to. I would suggest FASFA for HCC, as it'll cover all of tuition and some.

Campus Resources: The library has a decent selection, but when you can't find a book there, the public library is right next door. There are works of art displayed inside and out, campus activities are always a blast. The game rooms are fun, the quiet rooms are good for studying, the cafeteria is phenomenal.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are multiple computer labs, some are specialized for graphic art students, the computers are top grade macs that are best for handling graphic design art. There are some computer labs that are for the fantastic PC and all of its users, where you can write and print your papers. The network is always online and works great for their computers, however wireless you need to constantly sign in whether you're on your personal laptop or using an i-device (ipod, ipad, ect). It's a little annoying, but it works, even if a little slow.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Some of the classes they offer are only available at certain times and during specific semesters (spring/fall), however they do offer multiple times for the same class, and even have online class selections.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are fantastic! The work is hard and sometimes heavy, but the results are always worth it. There is a whole section of the college dedicated to the arts, and it's even better when part of the campus is dedicated to being an art museum. You get exposure, contacts, and inside information on what it's like in the art world.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are wonderful. They are willing to help you and work to the best of their abilities. Some of the professors work at other universities and give you the same education they give students at their universities. Class registration is simple and easy. The workloads depend on the professors and overall it's just a fantastic school because the professors are willing to work with you instead of treating you like work.

5 College Senior

Student Body: The student body is amazingly friendly and there are many who are willing to help you get ahead and reach your goals. Everyone understands the importance of education and (even when they hider theirs) they appreciate and respect you enough to not hinder your education.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It will serve its purpose, but I could have done better.

2 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The worst class I took was an online psych 101 course. The professor could not have been less involved in running the class.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The library is adequate, The art gallery is excellent.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Wireless available throughout the campus, numerous computer labs, printing readily available.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The school caters to adult learners, so accommodations are made fairly easily.
