4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: I have had numerous job opportunities since I earned my degree. But I have decided to go back for nursing and have a career.

Academic Experience: I'm getting an Associates of Science, I'm particularly interested in Chemistry. I want to go into dermatology in the long run. I take 4-5 classes per semester and work part-time. The facilities on campus are pretty good, they do offer a good nursing and engineering program. These are both related to the math and science fields, but not quite what I'm looking for. I haven't heard of many internship opportunities, but you can find a job quickly after you get trained with your degree.

Academic Experience: The academics offered at my school are great. The professors really enjoy their jobs, and they teach with strong passion. The teachers stay close strict to the curriculum that way you know how to follow with your studies. You have open reign with your class registration, which is very convenient especially when you're having to work.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My school's tuition is definitely worth every penny fore each class I take. I'm getting a good deal on my core classes in comparison to if I was at a major University. I receive financial aid help through FAFSA, and overall attending the school has been great. I can afford my education and the value of the school is very high.

4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: The courses offered are good especially for a community college, and I have really enjoyed the professors. More times than not I have liked all of my professors. They are all great at their jobs and in love with their jobs. HGTC is a technical college that is definitely worth the cost.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: I attend a community college currently, I want to transfer to an University. There aren't many job/internship prospects around on campus, only a few alumni opportunities. I believe they could work on the quality of their career center/services on campus.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I am there just for school not the extras.

College Junior

Academic Experience: I am in the beginning phase of my education process so I can not accurately rate this yet.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am very pleased to date with classes, professors and the help needed from HGTC.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It was going fine until I was charged a $78 processing fee because somehow I logged into the wrong fafsa website. Minor glitch with the computer sent wrong info and because the finanacial aid office only checks the fafsa info 3 days, I am in a waiting process. Just a little stressful with the tuition deadline just days away.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: To date, I have had great professors at both Conway and Grand Strand locations. They are willing to assist you when you take the initiative and ask for help.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: There are many degree and certificate programs to choose from.
