4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Small but updated and community oriented

5 College Student

Overall Experience: The school is amazing! Everyone there, from teachers, faculty, staff, to students and even parents really welcome you and make you feel like you are all one big family. They do amazing at preparing you for the "real world" and give you a better understanding of the type of person you want to be.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in an apartment on campus and i love it.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I didn't get much financial aid so im not really sure on stuff dealing with it.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Some things they are more strict about than others like drinking but they aren't as strict about people being in your room.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Although some profs are lackluster, the good ones (Brother John Tryon, and Brother Nich Perez, to name a couple) are absolutely phenomenal.

2 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Although it's a dry campus, everyone drinks casually within their dorms. Weed and Adderall are rampant. Quite a few kids partake in harder party drugs as well.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The business office is entirely inept. Thank God Regina Slonskey has been brought in to run the Financial Aid office. One of the women that works in the business office was in a Business Law class with me last semester. I out-debated her on a regular basis, as she was a complete idiot. This same woman saw it fit to deny me a voucher for books during the previous semester. What a mess.

Health & Safety: Holy Cross is split down the middle to two extremes. Everyone is either a saint or an alcoholic and/or druggy. Things can get a bit sketchy as a result.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The campus is pretty strict when it comes to drinking and curfew and other things. But I think because it is a catholic institution, the rules are a bit tighter. I think that the students are mixed between people who like the rules and people who would much rather do without a lot of them. I think they still assume it is college and the rules and policies would not be as strict.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Great scholarships, but should definitely make more academic scholarships available. nonetheless i've recieved the best and I'm grateful for it.

5 College Freshman

Parking: There is no need to get to school early to find parking. there is always and available spot.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Notre Dame, In has the best off-campus housing selection, everything is so close to school so theres no need to worry and there is always availibility!

Campus Dining: It's way better than my high school cafeteria food.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: They look for ways to make the school more diverse.

4 College Student

Scholarships: I received two $2,000 scholarships from Holy Cross College and a grant. They're helping me out as much as they can. Financial aid is a big help also.

College Student

Transportation: I don't know much about Holy Cross Transportation. Since I live off-campus and usually walk to or from school.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: The South Dining Hall is amazing, since Holy Cross is apart of Notre Dame, you get the same dining privileges as the ND students!

2 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Underage drinking is not tolerated and the use of illegal drugs.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: During the day, it can be frustrating trying to find a spot in the residential lot because many of the commuters park there illegally. However should you get a spot in the residential lot you're 20 seconds from any building on campus.

1 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I'm not sure how, but the school somehow gets away with not having a health center or even a nurses station on campus. Better have a car if you need to see a doctor or get a prescription filled.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Men's hockey is fun to watch and the proximity to Notre Dame allows for students to attend many Irish events for free. Not a bad deal.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: This grade is one that the school can't necessarily help due to the financial constraints Holy Cross is under. If you are looking for grants or fellowships to pursue research or further your academic career, they simply don't have the money to give you. Unfortunately you will find that a severe lack of funding negatively affects many departments on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Most pre-reqs can be over-ridden if you have a good enough reason to take the class. Burzycki really knows his stuff as an adviser and can get you your degree early if you declare your freshman year.

2 College Sophomore

Academics: Only a hand full of classes actually challenge students and engage them in learning. Most can be breezed through without a second thought. History is the saving grace of the school as it is actually nationally ranked.
