4 College Junior

Transportation: Transportation is pretty much unnecessary. Everything on campus is withing a 10 minutes distance at the absolute most.

3 College Senior

Transportation: Not Really Needed – Since Hiram is so tiny, transportation isn't really necessary. However, certified drivers are allowed to drive the vans to off-campus events.

4 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: I don't live on campus, but they have shuttles to the airport for breaks, and have shopping trips a couple times a semester.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: They provide trips every once and a while to take you to the store to get a few thing that you may need but it is hard to get anywhere other then that, due to us being in the middle of know where. They also provide transportation to the bars and any event that is going on.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: They make it a point that no student drinks and drives so they provide some transportation to bars off campus or some events, such as senior send off, which is an event off campus. They also provide trips out to walmart or to the airports for kids that are from out of state or country that were unable to bring a car to campus.

If you don't have a car on campus, you should make friends with someone that does! There is no public transportation, and everything is about 30 minutes away. Luckily, the College sponsors shopping trips and airport shuttles, which are immensely helpful. But transportation remains a problem for people without cars.

While there aren't any subways or vast bus systems, there are a few other transportation options for Hiram students, including PARTA Dial-A-Ride for destinations around Portage County; this service leaves from Hiram on Mondays and Wednesdays, and it's $4 each way. For Dial-A-Ride, trips need to be scheduled by 4 p.m. the day before the trip.
