3 College Freshman

Nightlife: There's parties and everything, but from what I hear, they aren't that great. A lot of them get busted for being too loud but underage drinkers don't seem to get in trouble a lot either. I'm not a partier so I don't have a lot of firsthand experience.

Nightlife: I'm not usually around because I work nights.

Nightlife: It's always great when you've got a group of great friends!

Nightlife: Nightlife at Hiram is very poor. There is only one small bar on campus that is not exciting and hardly gets business. The other bars are between .5 and 1.5 hours away. There are almost no house parties, except for at the townhouses located on campus. However, these are often packed with students and almost always get busted or at least broken up at the end of each night by the village police. The best bet for students is to have a car and travel to Kent State University, which is about a half hour away, or head to Cleveland which is about an hour away from campus.

Nightlife: Sometimes the night life isn't the greatest. The one bar on campus has underage nights. There are parties in the townhouses on campus and the suites but most times they are just people hanging out and talking. There are a few bars five minutes away from campus, but one is for 21 and older. The other is only fun on certain nights.

Hiram has very little nightlife, especially for those under 21. Hiram is not a big party school, but there is a bar close to campus where students go on the weekends. It is mildly popular. Most students party in the Townhouses, which are known for having the biggest, rowdiest parties—though they are mild in comparison to other schools. Students who are underage have to be careful when drinking and often drink in their rooms before going out for the night so they don't get caught with alcohol.

For the most part, students have to go to Cleveland for clubs, which usually get good reviews—if students are willing to make the drive. Other than that, students can go to nearby colleges like Kent State for Halloween parties. Even though Hiram is small with not a lot of nightlife, students find ways to have fun on campus with game nights, movie nights, and all of the school-sponsored parties and events.
