Greek Life: Various fraternities and sororities engage in the community. They set up events and fundraisers to assist with a cure for cancer as well as programs to help with the youth.

Facilities: The activities offered are really good. I am a dancer and that is offered at limited schools, but high point happens to be one of them. They also include many other sports that are fun and entertaining to watch

Off-Campus Dining: Restaurants off campus are very nice and there is a lot of variety. I enjoy eating off campus because many of the restaurants tend to treat the college students the most and they are not over priced.

Majors: I am very happy with the opportunities I am being given within my major and I believe all off the different experiences will give me a very good chance to do well after college.

Drug Safety: You can get away with it, but if you get caught, might as well drop out.

Campus Strictness: They have a crap load of security, and with that a lot of things getting monitored.

Diversity: Pretty diverse as a whole, nothing specific comes to mind about it being explicitly or especially diverse.

Athletics: Our sports teams are really good, and mostly win all their games. Sports are fun at High Point, and we're getting a football team soon! :)

Guys & Girls: Almost everyone at High Point is good looking and in pretty good shape. There are tons of people with great personalities who are a lot of fun to hang out with. A lot of the girls like Lilly Pulitzer, but I personally dislike it and never wear it and that ok too! Vineyard Vines is huge too, but again, I don't really wear it and that's totally fine :)

Nightlife: High Point is a small town with few clubs or bars, but there are a lot of house parties and dorm parties. I think the nightlife is pretty ok.

Scholarships: The process is fairly simple and easy, but High Point doesn't give out a lot of financial aid. I'm not sure if I will receive the amount of aid that I need this year.

Health & Safety: The staff at HPU really look out for and take care of their students. If you are sick you can go to student health and they will take care of you. If you have a medical emergency they will send you to the hospital and have someone from the campus staff check in on you and make sure your family is informed. High Point is very safe and well-maintained, the security guards keep student safety a priority and the campus is very well lit.

Drug Safety: I haven't been exposed to many students doing drugs, if there are any situations with drugs the campus security handles it very well. I don't personally no any one who does drugs. There is drinking but not to an excess, I'd say it's about average for a college.

Facilities: High Point University includes the fourth hour in its classes which adds depth to classes and challenges students to use their knowledge outside of the classroom as well. It also is a value based school so everything from the kiosks with free breakfast in the morning to the steakhouse represent values that High Point wants its students to learn. My favorite thing about High Point is our President, Nido Qubein. President Qubein teaches a life skills class to freshman, is prominent on campus and can be seen talking to students, and is an influential figure in the business world. He came to America knowing very little English and with only ten dollars in his pocket, today he is one of the best speakers and business men in America. There is so much to learn from him.

Facilities: High Point University's campus is beautiful and very up to date. The University Center (UC) is the main student center and has housing, four dining options (the Bakery, the Farmer's Market, Prime Steakhouse, and the Point), and a second library. There are many academic buildings and each are tailored to each departments needs. The campus itself is full of activities to join and you're bound to find something you love and there are always plenty of fun things to do. Overall there is a sense of community and High Point just feels like a second home.

Diversity: Majority white students on campus. Would like to see more diversity for blacks as well as Indians, Hispanics, and orientals

Athletics: Sports are important and we are D1. But we are not the best in the Big South

Weather: Mostly warm during the year and a little cold in the fall and winter

Drug Safety: We have a pretty laid back campus. We do have campus security that is semi-strict. They understand that drinking is going to happen on a college campus, but they do not let it get too out of hand. For example, they will drive you home but if you're belligerent it's a different story. Drugs are not acceptable at our school. They are around, but I personally have never felt pressured to do any.

Overall, the HPU experience is nothing less than “extraordinary." Most students are happy to be attending such a fantastic school and are actually sad to be going home at breaks. The campus has such a welcoming atmosphere that students feel that they are at home no matter how far they have to travel to get there. Students become so involved with friends, clubs, sports, and organizations on campus that leaving all of that to go home is sad for a lot of students. When it comes to preparing students for the future, High Point gives them every opportunity, and all they have to do is take it. High Point produces well-rounded students who are prepared to enter graduate school or the job market as soon as they graduate. With a focus on a real world experience in the University's education, students leave HPU with the competence to jump into the workforce. Through internships and hands-on classroom work, students can feel confident they have the skills to succeed.

High Point is different from so many other schools because it is a small school with large-school facilities. The University has the resources of big schools, but the friendly and caring atmosphere and personal attention of a smaller institution. Professors know students by name and take an interest with what they are doing in and out of the classroom. High Point values a student's whole education, not what is just limited to the classroom. The professors and administration work on molding students not just academically, but also instilling in them a sense of generosity, self-awareness, and kindness toward their environment and fellow man.
