Academic Experience: I am a single mom. I am also a grandmother who decided to go back to school to get a de gree. I am disabled. I have Multiple Sclerosis. The teachers, advisors, and program directors are excellent. I believe that I made the right decision to attend Heald. As a result, my youngest daughter just graduated from high schol, and now she also is a student. I am proud for the both of us!

Academic Flexibility: The main reason I chose this school was because it is the closest community college near my house and I needed to attend a community college first so that I could take some college pre-requisites that my high school didn't offer. Some of the benefits of attending this school include a flexible schedule, a supportive faculty, and the fact that I'm only taking classes that I actually need.

Academic Experience: The school offers a wide range of resources to students and their families as well. However, some of the teachers at the school are very unprofessional and seem very uninterested in their jobs. The major complaint I have about this school is that it seems like they allow anyone to come there and study because they are a for-profit school.

Online Courses: I am not currently enrolled in Online Courses but the reason why I chose not to was because Online is different than in classrooms. I prefer to speak to my professor face to face than on a computer.

Campus Resources: The campus resources here are wonderful except that the computers are slow at times. I remember arriving at Heald Campus at 7:45 am, and the computer took half an hour to log me in. So, coming early didn't really help me much since I only got 15 minutes to do my work. But other than that experience, everything else is pretty well.

Academic Experience: The work load can be heavy at times, but that is to be expected at a trade school since you aren't there as long.

Academic Flexibility: Flexibility With My Schedule – heald college has a flexible schedule.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think the education i got with Heald College was ok. There are some classes that i took that i dont think was necessary for my major. The hands on was great. I recieved financial aid, however its not enough to cover my cost of school. My tuition i have to pay after i graduated is really expensive i dont think it was worth it at the end. When i first started school they charged me for the backpack and essentials inside of it which i did not need. I thought it was free, they did not tell me i was being charged for it. I wished you guys can let the students know and explain clearly what we are being charged for.

Campus Resources: Sometimes there are computer problems. Its inconvenient when i need the computer at a certain time and the computers are down.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: Workload is always so much, it's hard to do your homework and work. It's like you don't have the time to get it done. Everything else stops.
