3 College Junior

Student Body: Students accept people for who they are.

4 College Senior

Student Body: The students get to know one another through the classes and then become good and long lasting friends, especially the ones that are in the same career path. We study together, eat lunch together and text each other with homework questions and frustrations. I attended another college but the student body was bigger and the only ones that really hung out together were the ones in your classes. They didn't cross over to other majors as far as being friendly. At Heald, the medical assistant students will come out into the hall and snag other students, and bribe them with food, to be a guinea pig in the labs so they can practice taking vital signs and drawing blood. It is a blast at Heald! But we also learn. Our instructors have many years of experience in the field and so can instruct us with confidence and we can feel that we are getting the best education possible. My coding instructor has been in the field for 25+ years and is still consulting physicians' offices while teaching! That is so awesome! He stays up-to-date!

4 College Senior

Student Body: Students are friendly and always there to help

4 College Senior

Student Body: Friendships, Acceptance, Pride – Much of the student body are older adults who have busy lives raising families, working and attending school full time. The student body is diverse, many from other countries and new to the US. There seems to be no challenges except for language barriers but student help out as much as they can. You see acceptance and respect for fellow classmates and learning becomes more fascinating with so many different outlooks regarding learning. Many of the students become friends and work together class after class as we learn together.
