3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There is a diversity of students on campus.

College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have not started classes yet. My first day is April 21, 2014'

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: From seeing the structure of the course, I feel that it has all I need to succeed in the field.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: This school and staff are very resourceful & supportive.

3 College Senior

Facilities: I think that they ease with which one can succeed within the Heald school system is one of it's best features. If one applies oneself, everything here is a breeze, after you've studied of course.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: The online course I've taken here at Heald all worked wonderfully for me. They were easy to get into, easy to understand and it was not difficult completing the tasks and assignments to be turned in.

3 College Senior

Career Services: The career services department at contacts all graduate students in order that they may have a current resume on file so that they can suggest the appropriate person, should a fitting job arise. In my personal experience I have only had one job lead that was called in to me from the career advisers at Heald. They did however follow up after the initial call to me to see how the job prospect worked out, which I thought was awesome.

Student Body: Heald is full of students that have just graduated from high school and want to get started and finished with college and on to their career quickly. Alot of these younger students have not learned to adapt high school behavior to college behavior/ attitude and presentation.

Heald also has a large contingent of older students who, in my opinion, study and work really hard to get into their chosen field.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Heald college has what they term a 'Learning Resource Center'. This area is a library / computer filled area so that on campus students have; access to a computer, internet, reference materials, and training software needed for their field of study. They also have volunteer tutors that coordinate services out of this center as well.

Heald college Hayward also has a sorority/fraternity group that students can join.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer and networking system at Heald college is excellent. The LRC, as mentioned, has all the computers and software available for students to utilize to enhance their academic learning experience.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Heald College offers alot of flexibility for scheduling of classes. They try to work within each individual students schedule so that they may take the courses that they need in order to graduate on time.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Heald College has an excellent academic curriculum. The facilities are easily accessible and contain all the equipment and technology needed to enhance the educational experience.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: The staff at Heald College are very helpful and knowledgeable. They strive and do their best to make each students academic experience a great one. They also are there to assist students with getting in, getting out, and getting ahead.. as their motto states.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: There are some issues with grants not being able to cover the entire tuition and fees and then financial aid personnel (although very knowledgeable) often try to set the students up on out of pocket payment plans or private loans that have to be paid back immediately, regardless of their financial situation.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I like my college but I am not sure if I had the chance again would I do it over. The school is very expensive compared to community college and now I am in debt. I know I have learned a lot but some of the things that I did learn I already knew and thought were unnecessary to take.

3 College Senior

Facilities: It is okay I guess. The one thing that I like is that I can establish a relationship with my instructor where they actually know my name and greet me when I come into class. The small classrooms are one of the best things about my school.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I am not sure yet what the process is. Hopefully I can land a good job as Heald College is a nation wide known college.

1 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think it is horrible I pay all of my bills and support myself. I receive no financial aid and have to take out thousand of dollars of loans. This is horrible and I am only 20 years old and already having debt, we need to change this system.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are a lot of resources on campus if you need it. You can ask anybody for help and they have tutors and a library where you can work on your work.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: They provide all computer use almost in every classroom. As technology advances I think it is important to get used to computers and other technology as it will be useful in the future.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I think it is great they offer a lot of programs. I took up the business entrepreneurship and I really learned a lot. I think it should have been a bit more wide spread learning though.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are great and I learned a lot of things. Some of the curriculum is outdated and a lot is common sense they need to go more into depth and make sure people aren't just learning things they already know.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: They are very flexible and work around your schedule as best as possible. Everybody is very nice and tries there best to help you with anything that you need. They actually want to help you graduate and help you with any situation that you need.

3 College Senior

Student Body: I think that it is average. Everybody is pretty nice but most are there for their education and stick to that.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: The overall experience was alright. Now that I have experienced online classes and on campus classes. I prefer to take the on campus classes as you can be in more contact with your instructor and it is more hands on.
