4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Online classes are wonderful, but, I am a person who likes to see people face to face so online is not the best option for me. However, I have had pretty positive experiences with it.

Academic Flexibility: I love the schedule of classes Harford provides. It makes it easy to work around my work schedule and other responsibilities.

Facilities: I believe the most unique thing about HCC is the diversity on campus. I enjoy getting to know people I would not have met outside of HCC. It has really stretched me in being open to making new friends and seeking new and diverse opportunities.

Career Services: The career and transfer services at HCC has been a help in finding what courses would be best to take when it comes to transferring. I was given some information I would not have known without them.

Academic Experience: The experience I've had at Harford is the best! The professors are a huge help, and are always willing to help me in any way they can. This makes me feel as though I can do anything with them behind me.

Academic Experience: Right now I am a pre-nursing major at Harford Community and it is a bit of work. However, in this profession you need to have higher standards because of the nature of work you will be doing. I enjoy how professors will push me to do better and work harder. It not only grows me in school skills such as studying and all but also in other areas of life. It is teaching me to never give up and always push myself to the next level.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office at Harford has been incredible. They have helped me with any confusing questions I have had and make everything straightforward. When it comes to tips on financial aid I would say to make sure you are meeting deadlines. Make it a priority. If you do not, it could cost you a good scholarship or grant.

Campus Resources: There are always opportunities to plug in at Harford Community College! There are tons of clubs and events that brings people together and allow for connections to be made. The library is not only a great place to study but also allows for great programs and fellowship with other students.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love HCC. It has been such a blessing to attend. I work alongside a wonderful group of people to reach our dreams. The best experience I've had is the interaction with professors. The professors are always willing to talk, help, and educate you at any time. I would choose my school again in a heartbeat. It is close to home, affordable, and an overall wonderful college experience.

3 College Senior

Facilities: They are slowly making changes to the school for the better.

College Senior

Career Services: I have yet to try out the career services that are offered.

3 College Senior

Student Body: Average mix of many different types of economic levels, cultures, etc.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Decent amount of resources for the size school it is.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The academia is great at Harford community college. The only complaint I have, is the Gen Eds waste the time of people who already know where they are going.

2 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I took a hybrid course, and It became an online course. I personally don't do well when I cant physically go to a classroom, and then my teacher was complacent, so I didn't learn much.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I don't personally use many of the school Campus resources. The library has tons of books on everything, but besides that I come to school to go to school.

It is a nice campus, though.

Campus Resources: The wireless speed on campus is amazing during the not busy points of the day. During peak times, the wireless is adequate.

Sometimes, it cuts out every 5 seconds, and that can be problematic.

College Sophomore

Career Services: The Community college is set up for STEM students to transfer to the major instate universities with ease, not go straight into the workforce.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I got the financial aid I needed without a hassle.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: This is a community college. I don't find there to be anything special about the facilities.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The Academia in the STEM division is the same quality level as the 4 year major engineering universities around, such as University of Maryland College Park, and UMBC.

As a Engineering student at HCC this is critical, because a low quality foundation of knowledge on a highly intellectual field is detrimental to success later on in life.

The workload is the same as it is at the universities, the rigor is the same, and the school has ALL of the necessary equipment for the first two years of study.

Academic Experience: The Professors hired at HCC in the STEM division are the same quality as the professors at the Major universities.

For example, my physics professor has a PhD, has been teaching for almost 30 years now, and about half of that overlaps his successful 40 year career as a research physicist, where he published over 60 research papers.

Overall Experience: This is a community college. With that being said, you have an environment that is more goal oriented than I would say a 4 year school is. With most of the programs, the "Goal" is transferring to the 4 year school at the minimum (at least it is such in the STEM division). Also, because of that, "I have to transfer" mentality, many more students take their education much more seriously early on, which creates a more focused learning environment, which as an engineering student is nice.

Also, all of my core teachers are great people and excellent teachers, which is also nice.

Overall Experience: Would choose Harford again for ease
