3 College Junior

Facilities: i haven't used much of the facilities but i do like how the classrooms are spacious.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: i love the fact that it's closer to home so that i am able to stay at my job and live on my own. also it is a lot more affordable than my previous school.

College Junior

Career Services: i haven't taken advantage of any of these opportunities nor am i very familiar with them

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: i wish that the payment plan was easier and allowed for a longer period to pay for your classes. i also wish that there were more scholarship and financial aid opportunities

3 College Junior

Student Body: i havent really gotten to know the students at my school as i went to class and then went home.

College Junior

Academic Experience: i just recently switched majors and am not sure how the classes and such for this major are yet

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: there is a wide variety of possible degrees and certificates that are offered at HCC and all of my professors i've had have been great.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: it has always been fairly easy to find the helpful resources i needed whether it be the library or faculty.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: i love that i dont have to worry about trying to afford ink to print my assignments at home because the library offers free printing

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: i've had a few frustrations with registering for classes online and being told i don't have the prerequisites that i do already have that are needed

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Being a working mother online classes make it so much easier to continue my education,

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is extremely reasonable, except I don't believe in charging as much for an online class in my opinion because the professor does not have to do as much. Financial aid is great many students receive it and as long as they show up to class and do well and work hard they are supported.

Campus Resources: I participate in the Math Club and enjoy being a part of it. The athletics on campus aren't huge, but students use it as an opportunity to stay active. We have a tutoring center, but I would not recommend using it for math help because everyone teaches different and they are usually extremely busy and overwhelmed. The library is quiet and relaxing with computers and desk area along with quiet rooms to study, work on projects, or utilize campus resources. Overall the campus is set up to be very helpful to the student body.

Campus Resources: The computers at school have high speed internet and WiFi you can connect to. Many students bring laptops and tablets to work on assignments. Printing is extremely easy and helpful when on the go.

Career Services: With the agreement Harford has with all Maryland schools, transferring is made easy for students because almost all credits transfer with no hassle. If you look at going out of state it may be more difficult, but the advisors at Harford are willing to help every step of the way.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: Since Harford is a community college many students tend to just go about their day and go to school. There isn't much interaction. A lot of foreign students have come to Harford though for sports and academics.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I enjoy the classes provided at Harford, but I switched majors because their engineering program did not have a concentration in chemical engineering and I felt it difficult to be interested or motivated to complete their program. I am a double major of Chemistry and Physics and appreciate the chemistry teachers at Harford. They are very helpful and are willing to discuss their own careers in chemistry and help out students find a career path. I find the workload tough, but manageable.

Academic Experience: Registration is easy and very accessable to students and allows for easy scheduling. If I wait list a class I have found I can get in within a few days. I enjoy having the mentoring of Dean Wrobel of Harford's STEM department, she is very encouraging to all students. I look to her for guidance frequently and she is very helpful with figuring out or discussing possible careers and interests of students. Most professors I have had at Harford have been above a beyond helpful and take pride in teaching every student.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility of classes at Harford allows students to take the opportunity to get to their class at practically any time of day. In the Fall there seem to be more class schedule options for particular or specific classes and the same goes for the Spring. I am currently looking into transferring and Harford's advisors have made it extremely helpful to figure out what needs to be done to transfer and how credits transfer.

Facilities: Our school has a club for many of the students' majors and I participate in the Math Club. A lot of our science clubs are new because of the increased interest. I helped start the Harford Community College Math Club and take pride in that. I think Harford does a great job to support career paths for students' interests.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: I take many of my electives online and find them to be convenient and manageable. I have been able to get in touch with any professors over email, when necessary and they have always been helpful. I had a professor last semester check up on me over email to make sure I didn't forget to take online quizzes due for the class. The registration process is easy and use friendly. I find the workload to be average and it is easily equivalent to other non-online class work loads. Discussions or blog posts are common with the online classes I have taken and some students like to engage in discussion while others make a post to get the grade simply.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: School has always been a struggle for me to fit in with the rest of the crowd, at HCC i feel like i fit like "a puzzle piece" where I am perfectly positioned and well supported by my surroundings

College Junior

Facilities: I don't have an opinion on other schools just yet, however HCC has always exceeded beyond my expectations and i truly have not a bad thing to say that came to mind at all.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I enjoy the diversity that attends HCC for it brings life and an uplifting spirit!

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I took a theatre course online during this past winter 2013. The workload was given in the beginning of the semester, there was no surprises, the deadlines were given to me from the first day and my professor even offered a flexible schedule for us to have enough time to have assignments completed by specific days and times.
