4 College Junior

Campus Resources: One of the things i like most about my school is the COMMUTERS lounge, you never get judged for taking a quick nap.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: There is almost always a computer available and printing is free. However, they could update their computer systems.

3 College Junior

Facilities: I love my school because it is a great place to learn and earn my degree.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They transferred over all my core classes/ degree requirements and i am even taking a summer class at a community college this summer, to save money, that they will transfer over when i return in the fall.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Every thing is great, probably yes in some areas they need to improve but they provide us with the knowledge and opportunities to farther our education. It is up to me as the student to take full advantage of the opportunities and to advance on my own.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: In this area the school truly gets an A plus. The professors are great, class registration is easy, the workload is tough but also rewarding.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm sure the cost of tuition is not bad for most people, but i grew up poor with a single mother and i work a part time job for minimum wage and the thought of the debt that i will have accumulated after college is scary. However to me, the importance of earning this degree out weighs the financial burden. So, in my opinion yes the tuition is worth the education

College Junior

Online Courses: The college i am getting a degree at does not offer online courses, that i am aware of. However, i have taken one online class at Delaware county community college and i feel as though i learned a lot.

4 College Junior

Student Body: The student body is diverse and accepting of all types of people.

Campus Resources: Resource are good for a small campus. Everything is great...the dinning staff is excellent always so pleasant and polite.

Everyone one I encounter are great.......

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The technology is good. Wifi is great. Computers (laptops) are available in the classes if needed.

Part of the curriculum is always the option to do a powerpoint presentation. Harcum encourage

the students in this area.....It's great!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I am an adult student returning to school after many years.

The work is demanding; lots of reading and studying. Harcum is adult-friendly, working adults,

I'm please they are thinking of the older generation....So far I doing well, I'm on the dean list,

but I work very hard and doing well....I take my assignment and exams very serious......

There are a lot of talented and smart people in these classrooms.....an for an old guy like

me I'm just in an older body....my mind is still "top-notch"..... I love it, it's like being in the past,

but a lot smarter now......

3 College Junior

Student Body: I'm an adult student and I have the privledge of meeting students of all ages and ideas and backgrounds. It's great to

see how "old school" stack up to "new school" knowledge in the classsrooms. I love it!

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My advisor is pretty good at working with my needs, its not perfect, but I find this area to be pretty fair.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I pay a good portion of my own tuition though I ask for more financial aid as an adult student, I imagine because I work I should pay more (or less) depending whose asking. I have tried to work within a budget for college, when I had an emergency ( my apartments were being remodeled, they gave everyone about 30 day notice to move) in the middle of the semester with added expenses, I told the financial aid department.....it was like talking to a brickwall, they did not do anything...so I kept plugging to make it all work out.....I'm living with a friend because I did not have the savings for tuition and the move..... hey the Financial Aid is a business not a charity so.......that's why I responding to this survey to find some cash for school......

3 College Junior

Facilities: Small campus, easy accessable, very nice suburban area. Not complaints from me.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Have not taken any online courses

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I only been here a year and I found most of the instructors to be caring and supportive, however just like anything else,

you have to put in the time to get something out of it......

We are challenged at all levels with reports, speeches, papers, presentations...the whole "9".

Very diverse assignments with some teamwork and group activities......although the problem here is you get people

that can delay your progress when working in groups or you find you are the one doing most of the work, Personally,

I can live without the group activities........

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Professors in my opinion have been great instructors, they lay out the plan for the semester from beginning to end very well.

I find that to be consistent among all the instructors, so Harcum must be big on syllabus. Human Services requires a lot of reading, paper reports and assignments - not complaining. Many of the assignments require outside work, library, computer research which I think is good. The Curriculum is demanding, not a lot of test make up if you miss or days absence....

You have to show and be productive.....one wrong move and your semester can come tumbling down in a hurry.....

3 College Junior

Career Services: One thing Harcum College does well is try to offer their students information about continuing education and job fairs.

I've only been here a year, its a small school, but it's great. It's a good place to start then go to a larger university of college,or work and continue your education.

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: $100 parking pass for students! The financial aid department was very slow with distributing funds

3 College Junior

Student Body: Harcum is a 2 year school so the students are generally either younger students living on campus or adults, post-college commuting adults.

College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't taken an online course so I'm not sure how they are, or if there are any even avaliable

3 College Junior

Facilities: There is a huge opportunity for students who are looking for a profession and looking to avoid the traditional 4 year college scene. These programs vary from Physical Therapy Assistant to Vet Tech to Occupational Therapy. In the PTA program, they offer a night program that is 2.5 semesters.

Campus Resources: The campus library is loud and very small. As far as athletics and campus activities, i haven't attended any events. A majority of the students here are communters, and our program is time consuming so I don't believe many of the students attend these events either. The campus could use a serious face lift, but is always clean. During the winter, I did notice the sidewalks were not paved.
