3 College Freshman

Nightlife: The college itself isn't a huge party schools but you can find parties around the area.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Everyone seems to have school spirit and intramural's seem very popular.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: There's only one frat on campus and only one sorority off campus but I don't know much about them.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The prices seem decent and they seem to allow you more freedom and more space.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: There's a good amount of things to do on campus and areas to hangout.

College Freshman

Majors: I haven't decided my major yet, so i wouldn't know.

College Freshman

Majors: I wouldn't know since i haven't participated in any of these.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Everyone has a variety of interests and everyone is diverse.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There seems to be a wide variety of people and everyone seems accepting of everyone.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There doesn't seem to many crimes and I feel safe walking around the campus even at night since security seems to be very active.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There's a wide variety of food places and they are reasonably priced.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I like the way the classes are set up, it is very discussion based and the professors are very helpful.

College Freshman

Academics: I haven't selected my major yet, so I wouldn't know.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The food is really good. The variety is pretty good but they could have a little more. I am a vegetarian and there is a decent amount for me to eat.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Very nice area, locals seem friendly. There are many shopping places to go to, there's a movie theater, plenty of concerts and sports games.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: There's only one frat and one sorority and the sorority is a mess.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of different people, it's hard to say that there is one particular style trend.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There isn't anything super special, but there's variety and you can take as much as you want.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There really is a lot to choose from and with the Green Line light rail on University, there is so much more access to places around the city.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Financial aid is a huge support in my ability to afford college, and getting a large amount of financial aid from the school was easy and convenient for me.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a great amount of diversity on campus, especially in terms of ethnicity and sexual orientation. Hamline is a very actively multicultural environment, and it's definitely a great place to fit in regardless of your demographics. It is a very liberal campus, but there still are conservative students and respectful political discussions.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: While I typically find on-campus dining fills my needs, being able to walk to places like Culvers or Jimmy John's is nice to switch things up. If I feel like more local dining, I can take a bus down to "Eat Street" for great options, but that is not very convenient.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: It is impossible to know just how much sexual assault may be occurring on campus, but the administration definitely goes out of its way to promote an environment which discourages assaults and gives survivors clear options and support. Theft does occur with some regularity, so you should never leave possessions out where they could be stolen, and be careful when walking the streets around campus at night.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Learning to use the public transportation options can be a bit challenging and even intimidating; that said, the bus lines cover a vast amount of area. And there are a great deal of restaurants and stores that are close enough to be reached on foot.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: It's a college, so the use of drugs and alcohol are practically a given. That said, outside of parties it really is not very visible or distracting, and even in parties with alcohol and drugs I've never felt any peer pressure. There is a lot of smoking on campus, though.
