3 College Junior

Student Body: The dental hygiene program this year consists of all females between the ages of 20-32. Most of us are from an area in NC, however, a couple commute from VA. As a group we tend to get a long very well with one another. We all have one thing in common, to become successful dental hygienist. This semester I only have dental courses, therefore I haven't met anyone outside of my program.

2 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body in my specific classes are decent for the most part because they are goal oriented. The overall student body is mediocre; it's almost like I'm back in high school.

1 College Senior

Student Body: Although the student population is diverse there are people there that are only there to disrupt others and collect a pell grant check. There is also a high school program on campus that causes distraction by the noise they make while walking around campus.

2 College Junior

Student Body: The campus is mostly composed of early college students, older adults returning to school, and local screw ups. I don't mean this to sound the way it does but I don't like sitting around social areas for very long because I end up hearing how some guy got h*** from a drunk girl last night, how some guy pulled on a gun on some dudes, what drugs people are currently selling or taking, foul language, whose baby daddy didn't buy diapers this week and which girl or guy is the local slut of the week. It's sad that because the college is so conviently located and that there are not many options available to the residents of our area due to it being poor, they only really go to school most of the time to get the federal money and that's it. I hear people all the time talking about how the scholarship or grant they got is going to buy them and their friends tattoos, booze, drugs, etc. to party with. It's disgusting and heartbreaking to someone like me who intends to graduate, has a 3.85 GPA, who carries a 14 hour course load, works and is a mother. I think they should take better control over the student body and remind them that this learning institution is supposed to be preparing them for life, not a reality television show.
