Overall Experience: Every person that works for the school cares about the success of the students!

Career Services: These ladies are underutilized. They offer practice interviews, not only for jobs, but for the competative programs as well. They will research jobs, review resumes, give interviewing tips and techniques, anything to help students be successful in finding a job. They have a computer lab in their area and they will act as a personal recruiter if needed. I used them for my practice program interview - before, immediately after, and when I found out I got into the program, they celebrated with me. But they also help overcome obstacles if you aren't successful. They are very underutilized!!

Academic Flexibility: The friends that have needed accomodation have been offered something. A friend had a debilitating illness that the teachers accomodated. I think if the student is making the effort, the teachers will work with you -

Overall Experience: Every student in the last graduating class (for my program) is working in the field.

Overall Experience: The classes are very applicable to the programs and the teachers care!!

Tuition & Financial Aid: The people in financial aid are limited by the rules but they do try to maximize the assistance received by each student. The downside to talking to financial aid is the wait - there are 7000 students wanting to talk to these people and there are not that many - sometimes the wait can be long.

Student Body: There are a lot of clubs, a lot of study groups, a lot of things to do - if you want to. The Student Leadership group is very active and the leaders of that group work hard to engage all of the students - at least part of the time. They also work very hard to make the atmosphere in the various areas good for all the different types of students. Most of the students accept the others - there are very rarely any kind of issues - and those are addressed fairly quickly by school personnel and it's mostly based on different background behaviors. The school tries very hard to engage and include everyone!

Online Courses: I have taken 2 online courses. Technology was good; accessability was good. One had an awesome teacher and I disliked the book (outdated). The other had a great book with lots of good information that I'll use, but a crappy teacher that seemd to dislike making any effort for the students. That was the class that also had a few tech issues. Both had some peer-to-peer interaction, but not much. And both teachers had systems in place to make sure there was a workload - not just pulling answers out of the book at test time. Feedback from other students is that the awesome teacher is the norm and the horrible teacher may have been a summer anomoly.

Campus Resources: The teachers want you to suceed! There is a Student Learning Center that has help for the maths and english; there is a Stem Center for the sciences. The teachers will circulate thru those areas and help with any questions. It gives you exposure to different teaching styles. There are programs in place to help students maximize their protential. And it's a smaller college so the students can stand out and don't get lost in the crowd.

Academic Experience: Most of the teachers are great and the other students are very quick to let you know their opinion of the teachers. I have only had one really bad teacher and that was for an online class, so it was workable. Most of the teachers really want you to suceed and will offer lots of assistance to make that happen. The areas of study that students have issues with generally have an area that you can go and get extra help. The other students will generally help too if you really want the help - but they are very quick to cut the slackers out.

Facilities: Gwinnett Technical College is unique because it offers a wide range of programs for study. Generally community colleges are over populated and class sizes are too large so this makes it harder to schedule your classes. GTC is unique in a way that they have figured out a way to minimize those issues and this keeps you moving in the right direction.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I cant apply for financial aid, I am a Forign Student and I pay 3k for only 2 classes. Which is very expensive but yet worth the money.

Professors are amazing they actually care about students. Curriculum is amazing and there is not such thing as a workload is easy to study and the homework is not hard.
