Academic Experience: I plan on earning a Criminal Justice major and Green River has amazing staff members who work with the students to make sure that each one understands that aspect of the criminal justice center that is being taught in class.

Academic Experience: The professors here go out of their way to make sure that students don't get bored with the curriculum, fall to far behind the rest of the class and make sure that they are understanding the topics that are being taught.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Perfect! The financial aid office is great; they're there to help everyone and gives great information. The tips I have is to apply early and get in all the paper work they need. I am almost completed so money well spent.

Career Services: The college needs to offer more degree programs to fully prepare one for job aspects. But if one is interested in Nursing or engineering their needs will be greatly met at Green River Community College.

Overall Experience: Overall I am very pleased with the school and how they run their campus. I don't regret coming here and I am grateful to be almost finished with my degree.

Campus Resources: I'm rarely at campus so I am not applicable to answer this question.

Academic Flexibility: Taking online classes offers great flexibility and even lecture courses offer flexibility as well because when one looks at the class schedule they are give multiple times and locations for that one course. Green River Community College offers a lot for their students when it comes to flexibility and options. The problems I had with the classes were choosing classes that FAFSA couldn't pay for so the lady at the Financial Aid office sent me an email requesting a change or I would have to pay them back. I thought that was a nice thing to do by letting me know. Other than that I haven't had any problems with the academic flexibility.

Student Body: You can find a lot of students from different countries at GRCC; speaking their language and having fun. I take online classes but I do go to campus to take tests. However, I don't pay attention to people's race, sexual or political views I just go and do what I have to do and go home. I would love to make friends but everyone has their own group and we rarely have anything in common.

Online Courses: Taking online courses has been a breeze for me because I learn more at home than I do in a classroom. Yes, the cost to take online is much higher than taking a lecture class but I am able to pass each subject and learn a lot along the way. The professors make a lot of sense online because everything is being written out and they are always available to answer questions. Driving or taking the bus everyday to a lecture class and fail due to lack of notes is not going to be my story. Also it depends greatly on the professors as well; out of the whole 2 years I've taken online classes I only encounter one difficult professor to me that is a really good ratio. The class I didn't do good on was Stats and that professor has many bad comments about him on RatemyProfessor.com

Academic Experience: Green River does not offer a Dental Hygiene program but they offer many transferable credits which is a great thing. Green River is the perfect college to start off at. I am currently working on my AA in Arts and I have learned so much from the classes I have taken; I even got better at math. They offer a lot of online classes and that helps me a lot because I don't have a car to drive to the campus every day; so they offer very flexible class times online.

Academic Experience: The professors at GRCC are very passionate about the subjects they teach which is a plus and also the class registration is quick and easy no matter what time you're given. I do believe that the college needs to offer more programs such as Paralegal studies and Dental Hygiene programs as well.
