Nightlife: If you're into ragers, this school is definitely not the party school for you. Everyone is pretty boring when it comes to the party scene. People drink and smoke and use drugs and everything, but they're all hipster about it. They never actually do anything. Except that one kid...

Nightlife: Its definitely not a "party school" by any means. but there are off campus house parties, and sometimes free concerts on campus. Thats it though. No clubs or bars.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: There are often parties whether off campus or in people's rooms, but the Tavern is a great place where many people got to hang out. Blue Grass night is on Tuesdays!

Nightlife: There is one bar in town called Tap's Tavern and is very hospitable to college students. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are popular, with different $3 draft specials each night and live music most nights. There are always substance free activities held on campus during the week and weekends: bands, belly-dance performances, slam poets, guest speakers, comedians, DJ events, movie viewings, etc. There is almost something every night of the week. Each year we have a big-name band come play for our Spring Concert event. Drinking happens in dorm rooms (the rules are that you have to be 21, but you can generally get away with drinking under-age if you're not too rowdy and disturbing anyone). Our adventure programming office is killer! We offer FREE trips on the weekends and day trips on Wednesday. Trips include: whitewater kayaking, backcountry skiing, ice/rock-climbing, snowshoeing, hiking, and more. Most trips require no experience and all trip-specific gear is supplied. Students can also rent almost any type of equipment for a dollar a day.
