Greek Life: Greek life is too judgmental based on personal appearance, and rumor or drama. A lot of service greek life is not doing anything relating to service; it is all turning social and centered around drama. It is also too expensive. I would not consider joining greek life

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: It seems to me like everybody but myself is included in Greek life. I wasn't interested in it my Freshman year so of course I didn't apply, but they run everything around our school. All the extra curricular activities are ran by them .

College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not involved with Greek life, or informed on it.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: There really isn't a big fuss made about joining any of them.

Fraternities and sororities value community service, and participate in many volunteer and fundraising events at Grand Valley every year. Participation in service events serves the purpose to better the community. GVSU’s Greek life prides itself in leadership development and offers its students opportunities locally, regionally, and nationally.

Many members of Greek life hold brotherhood and sisterhood as the most important aspects of the organizations. Members of fraternities and sororities constantly hold study sessions, academic programs, and strive to have the highest chapter average GPA to maintain high academics. Many organizations offer academic scholarships, too.
