Overall Experience: One of my best experiences at my school is that when you get that one professor(s) who really believes in my goals, and they would go above and beyond to help me succeed in my journey.

Career Services: GRCC makes it easy to transfer to other colleges. It is a very simple process to send your transcript to another school. Most of the classes transfer. GRCC also helps people with employment.

Student Body: The student body is fairly diverse. It is difficult to get to know anyone if you aren't outgoing and don't join any clubs though.

Facilities: The facilities are pretty good. The newer buildings are great and have a lot of places to study and hangout. They are currently renovating some of the older buildings. What sets GRCC apart form other schools is that it is located in the heart of Grand Rapids and so has the benefits of being near many museums and other institutions. The museums are free to GRCC students. GRCC also has many different clubs and opportunities to get involved.

Academic Experience: For the most part GRCC does pretty well for overall academic experience. However, classes tend to vary way to much in workload and difficulty. In the case of the biology classes at GRCC, it varies depending on who the professor is. The classes are not too hard, but people should allow time in their schedules for labs as well as study time. GRCC has a nice science building with several labs including a cadaver lab. They also have great equipment which is surprising because it is a community college. Being located near several hospitals allows for great support for those going into the healthcare industry.

Academic Experience: The professors at GRCC vary in their performance. Some care more about teaching than others and so do a better job, but they also tend to be harder. I also found that online classes are basically self-taught. The professors offer little input and the discussions aren't guided in anyway. On campus classes are much better. Class registration is fairly easy, but a spot in a particular class is easier to get if you register early.

Campus Resources: I haven't used the campus resources, but most people I talk to say their great.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: There is only one computer lab and that's in the library. The wifi works well for the most part except for in the science building where the connection is slow. Wifi is available in all of the buildings so you're never disconnected. The printing is fairly cheap, but make sure that you are printing your own stuff.

Academic Flexibility: GRCC is a great start. It's affordable and most general classes transfer. However, some classes do not transfer to four year institutions. I would recommend anyone going on to a four year college to complete the MACRAO agreement at GRCC to save time and money and get their general classes out of the way.

Facilities: It's locally a great artsy place to be, it's right in the downtown Grand Rapids where ArtPrize happens and a lot of other great attractions.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I haven't taken an online course at this college.

Career Services: For me working with professors that already own a recording studio in the area I can easily ask them for an internship or help/ideas with where I should go.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There are experienced music recording technicians. A lot of the work is very hands on and easy to learn. You're given a lot of information but they make it easy to remember everything. The workload for me personally is a lot, but I like it that way, I have something to work towards and love what I'm studying. The two main recording tech professors own and work at a recording studio in Grand Rapids.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Everything is straightforward and easy to figure out. Most of the professors are eager to help and very knowledgeable about a lot of stuff at the school. The class registration process is very easy.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: I've been going to this college for two semesters and have only made one friend. I am not the most out-going either, but most students are kept to themselves and is hard to talk to people.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Everything is in a general area; if you wander around long enough you'll find what you're looking for. If you find an adult or get to an office they're very helpful.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Computer labs are aplenty, great wireless access, speed for computers are equally great. Printing is easy as long as you have money on your Raider Card.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is different than most community colleges, you're paying for the credit hour instead of the whole class itself, so if you meet up everyday for an hour you pay for each hour and lab hour. It's more expensive than I thought, but still better than going to a university. I have no experience with financial aid.

5 College Junior

Career Services: After taking a set of courses, one of my instructor actually helped students get jobs in the related field. Got a great paying job and am still going to school.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am getting an associate degree and transfer credits for 1/3 to 1/5 of the price of going to near by colleges.
