Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Achieve the highest SAT or ACT scores you can.
  • Apply early.
  • Get involved in extracurricular activities.
  • Perform lots of community service.
  • Try to be a well-rounded applicant.
Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • Be prepared to get active—many kids are in shape.
  • It can get pretty cold on campus.
  • The bookstore is really expensive—consider buying and selling your books online.
  • There seem to be a lot of bike and car thefts.
Interviews & Information Sessions
You can meet with an admissions counselor to discuss academic and extracurricular interests, plus financial aid and scholarship opportunities, too.
Campus Tours
Tours run every weekday, and can be arranged in advance through the Visit Office. Gonzaga University also offers seven "Preview Days" for prospective students and their parents. These days include a Q & A period with student ambassadors, a financial aid information session, a campus tour, an academic information session, and an interview with an admissions officer.
Overnight Visits
In early April, GEL Weekend (Gonzaga Experience Live) is held. All accepted applicants receive an invitation to visit Gonzaga for a weekend, stay in the dorms with students, and participate in the life of Gonzaga for a weekend. To make the experience truly enlightening, however, it requires doing more than just participating in the fun and games Gonzaga has planned-you need to spend a lot of time picking the brains of Gonzaga students. They're a friendly bunch, and they will be glad to offer you their opinions. Overnight visits can also be scheduled through the Visit Office.
