Georgia State University Reviews
Rating 3.72 out of 5 6,184 reviews
My overall experience with Georgia State University was adequate. Being a commuter means a possible chance of having zero campus life, unless you decide to stay longer after your classes end. Aside from the disadvantages of how being a commuter can affect your campus life experience, an advantage of Georgia State University is how diverse it is. Growing up, I was never surrounded in a diverse setting. The school I went to was mostly white-dominated or hispanic-dominated which is a contrast to Georgia State University. Additionally, making friends in this college is very easy. Overall, my experience is going well even though I'm only a freshman.
Georgia State is a school that teaches independence. The school is full opportunity and networking, as well as programs and groups. However, it requires you to seek these opportunities out. The college is in the middle of Downtown Atlanta and is made mostly of commuters so the campus life isn't as lively as a campus that has its own grounds, but is still a friendly environment full of students with diverse interests. There are multiple buildings that have the resources to pursue many interests, such as technology, gaming, and fashion. What the college may lack in typical campus life, it makes up for in resources, ingenuity, and diversity.
My Georgia State University experience was amazing because of all the great people and professors I could meet. Plus, since Georgia State is in the heart of Atlanta, there's never a day when an event or activity is not taking place. Navigating the bustling streets of downtown Atlanta, GSU's urban campus felt like a vibrant hub of activity. The cityscape provided a dynamic backdrop to my college experience, with skyscrapers towering above and cultural landmarks scattered throughout the area. Academically, GSU offered a wide range of courses and programs that catered to my interests and aspirations. Whether I was delving into the world of political science, exploring the depths of literature, or immersing myself in the world of computer science, there was always something new and exciting to learn. Overall, my freshman year at Georgia State University was an unforgettable journey filled with learning, exploration, and transformation.
