Computers: Great Computer Avaliability – There are several computer labs at the school. Each building has at least two labs, if not one on every floor. There is nearly always a computer avaliable, except maybe during serious crunch times, and even then you can usually find one if you look around. There are computers avaliable 24/7 during the school year. You are given a semester printing allowance that is more than sufficient.

Weather: The local weather doesn't really affect campus because there isn't really a campus life.

2 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are hardly any parties and most of the people on campus just drink in their housing or go to bars.

Computers: Certain computers at the school are fairly slow upon loading while others have the speed of a brand new one. The wifi works really well and you may need a pc if you don't won't to be bored.

Facilities: Oddly Artsy – Although a majority of students at ASU major in medicine, a great deal of students are enrolled in numerous art programs giving the school a somewhat artsy feel. As Augusta is one of the more traditionally liberal communities in the the bible belt (but trust me, its definitely no Asheville or Atlanta) the makeup of the student body is not as bro-ish and fratty redneck as you would think a school down here would be.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: The Augusta State student body is actually quite diverse. There are many people of every race, religion and sexual orientation. You could do a lot worse around the southeast.

Off-Campus Dining: Plenty of Dining Options Near ASU – While it certainly doesn't have the kind of dining options that a school in a major city would have, Augusta State has plenty of places to choose from. The campus is located 5 minutes from downtown (locally owned unique restaurants), and 5 minutes away from West Augusta. (Just about any chain restaurant you could ask for)

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live in the housing selection of my school.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: ASU has a wide variety of Majors. I am majoring in Psychology. The prospective workload is not awful but it's enough to keep one busy. All of the Psychology professors have doctorates and the ones I've worked with have been friendly and known what they were talking about.

Campus Strictness: ASU Strictness – Things aren't that strict. You can usually do what you need to or want to on campus but the security is there when needed.

College Sophomore

Facilities: ASU is a nice looking campus with a few things to do. There is a gym with some good equipment and pretty good hours. There are lots of computer labs, some of which are 24 hours. There is also a fantastic library. There are some sports fields but they are on an ASU building away from the main campus. I don't offer a grade to ASU because I've not been to any other schools to compare it to.

Guys & Girls: Beauty Is in the Eye – of the beholder. Lucky for me, I already have the most attractive guy on campus. ;)

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Lack of Vegan Options – We desperately need more vegetarian and vegan options for students.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Financial aid assistants are not very helpful. They give you the basics but you have to do some research yourself.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I don't know a lot about ASU nightlife. Sometimes parties take place on campus or in the Student Activities Center.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: ASU is a pretty diverse campus. I would say it is a predominately liberal college, but politics and religion do vary across the campus. Sexual orientation, ethnicity, and economic background are the most diverse.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Why ASU? It is affordable, i can still live at home so i dont have to pay for housing. The art department is pretty great.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Have an Umbrella Handy – the campus is pretty open, so if its raining you will get soaked. But it doesnt rain that much

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Depends on the People – Drug use and alcohol use are not visible. Of course it happens, but it isn't a huge part of the experience. The frats and sororities have really strict rules about both at their parties due to some issues in the past and the general student population doesn't necessarily advertise their usage.

Off-Campus Dining: The Augusta area has lots of nice places to eat. Close to the ASU campus is at a 5 minute drive or 10-15 minute walk is Surrey Center, which offers a great sushi restaurant, a delicious gastropub, a few upscale restaurants, and a café with a really great atmosphere. A little further away in the downtown area are numerous dining options at good prices, although you'll have to drive.

5 College Junior

Transportation: Augusta State offers buses that take students to campus, housing and the athletic center because the campus is not walking distance to either.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Augusta State University has state of the art facilities. We have a high tech athletic center that was recently built. Our library has three floors and the largest collection of Government books and documents in the Augusta area.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Process Could Be a Little More Faster – I haven't received any financial aid right now. They are currently in the process of looking over my files. They are a bit slow with it.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safety First – I have felt safe for the time that I've been there so far. The campus is nice and clean. There are also alert systems along the walkways for when someone is in trouble or something. I thought that was nice.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: The options at school are limited. There is a bus that goes from the village to ASU everyday. But for anyone else they have to drive and im one of the ones driving everyday.
