4 College Junior

Campus Resources: We have great facilities including a tutoring center, a library, a student center and students always take advantage of what the school has to offer.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Great tools on campus at our disposal

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Gavilan campus is simple, but calming due to the hillscape behind it and scattered trees. The student center needs some serious work, though. It is always extremely stuffy 24/7 and I can barely breathe in there. EOPS/Calworks have been amazing at helping students financially.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The speed is decent except when there's 10+ people just watching Netflix in the library, hogging up the bandwidth.....

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Beautiful campus, very clean and flowers and trees planted everywhere

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The facilities on campus are big and always have students. Although the facilities are out dated and need some remodeling, they are nice and attract people. The library is filled with art from famous artists and local artists and students. Often times the library displays student projects for a short period of time. The athletic facilities are nice and spacious. They have clean, polished floors and plenty of light. The student center is nice and filled with motivational posters encouraging students to do their best. The administration building has a new self-check in center where students can sign in to see a counselor. The art in the hallways is about 20 years old and not very flattering. There is only one cafeteria but they offer a wide variety of food such as pizza, pasta, salad, burritos, hamburgers, sandwiches, and other snacks. Some of the popular menu items are the breakfast burritos, fresh made pasta, and hot chicken sandwiches. The prices range from $1 to about $6 depending on the item. The dining hall is fairly large and often have some kind of entertainment like karaoke, plays, and battle of the bands.

Gavilan College offers plenty of places for students to use computers. They have 6 official computer areas as well as other places to use computers such as the Digital Media center and tutoring centers. Depending on the day of the week and time, the computer labs can get crowded but the wait time isn't too bad because there are many computer centers.
