4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I would choose Gateway if I had to start over again. It is adult learning friendly and allows me to work while getting an education. It would be nice to see certain courses available to evening students though. Overall it has been just fine.

Facilities: There are many different campuses which makes for good accessibility to many different people.

Student Body: There is a lot of diversity and everyone seems to be friendly enough. It makes for a nice college experience to be able to encounter people from all walks of life.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I do not take online courses.

Academic Flexibility: I am happy that there are evening classes available but it would be nice if other programs and activities had evening hours. It would be nice if the library could stay open a little later. It is difficult to work eight and a half hours and immediately attend a three and a half hour class though. It can be overwhelming at times when the instructor gets off topic and time is wasted. Other than minor things and schedule manageability to make time for homework, I am happy with my decision in choosing Gateway.

Academic Experience: I am going for my Associate in Science right now and plan to enroll into a university for Wildlife Biology. I am currently attending general education courses through Gateway.

Academic Experience: There seems to be a lot of opportunity here, I just wish that more things were available to evening students. The professors all seem pleasant and knowledgeable of their subject material. Registration for classes is fairly simple. The workload is modest.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I work full time in order to pay my tuition. I unfortunately could not afford the books so I had a friend lend me her old book for one class and I have just been going without in another class. Granted, going to community college is much more affordable than a university. It is a little exhausting though having to work forty hours a week and then go to classes, having no financial assistance and not be able to afford it myself. I go part time so that I can afford to pay the costs but that just means I will be in school longer. I would like to go full time and be able to afford my books. But since I have no aid I am not sure if that will happen. Financial aid loans are available, but at a rate so high it'll make anyone's head spin. Affordable college seems like it should exist here in the land of the free. Or maybe colleges could just start by not charging 200 dollars for a book that the instructor will use three times... Other than that, the staff in the office when I go to pay seem friendly and helpful and sympathetic as I had over the money I have saved up for months to be able to attend.

Campus Resources: There always seems to be some sort of activity going on that is open to Gateway students. Unfortunately I work full time during the day and am not able to attend most of the interesting things I would be delighted in joining.

Campus Resources: The labs are okay. The computers could be a little more up to date.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: there are not a lot of evening hours flexibility.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would choose this school because it is right down the street from my job, offers night classes, and is cheaper then going to a four year college when I was undecided on what I wanted to do

3 College Junior

Student Body: there are a lot of different ethnic back grounds. A lot of different personalities.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Dont like that I have to find my internship and everyone for the semester is looking for one

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: When have questions you always get voicemails.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I have no time to use the resources on the campus. I work full time during the day and come straight from work.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Some times the network moves slow

3 College Junior

Facilities: There should be more outside seating and no smoking

College Junior

Career Services: I havent look into any schools yet to transfer

College Junior

Online Courses: I never took and online class. I took a hyped class. Which was better then I thought

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value of the education I am receiving is worth the tuition. What I do not like about the financial aid process is my application always gets pick for the verication and I am always notified late.

1 College Junior

Overall Experience: Financial aid Administration Online Courses=Terrible

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: These resources are just up to par.

1 College Junior

Campus Resources: Blackboard is campus software, which is always problematic.

1 College Junior

Online Courses: Professors made themselves unavailable and unwilling to resolve issues.
