4 College Junior

Student Body: I like the diversity in the school. I think this is important. We should be able to deal with everyone on all levels, from our roommates to the President of the college. The most important thing to me is the respect factor. We all realize the campus, student population and staff are small in size. We have to keep in mind to respect each others space and boundaries. The students here at Garrett have strong convictions and dedication to their education. And therefore, that makes the difference in how we manage our time and interactions. We also know how to get together and have a good time.

Student Body: Growing up in Garrett County, MD you don't get to meet many people from a different background than you. It was to my surprise that Garrett College has people from diverse backgrounds. We have students and faculty from all over the globe. The teachers and advisors work with you so they can make your college experience easier and fun.

3 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: At Garrett College you will find a multitude of different students. There are working class adults, foreign exchange students and several different ethnic backgrounds and economic statuses. All of these students do their best to work together to obtain the knowledge from the class.

2 College Senior

Student Body: 10-20% of the students are hardworking, smart kids. The rest, however, seem like they go there just because that's the only place they could get into and don't apply themselves. There are very smart kids there, but for the most part, many of the students do not apply themselves, sadly.

3 College Senior

Student Body: Diverse for the Area – GC is located in a very rural area with pretty much only white people. The college has a lot of people from different ethnic backgrounds though. Many of students move here from DC and Baltimore. There are also many non-traditional students.
