3 College Student

Local Atmosphere: It is a small town, with not that much to do within the town. If you have transportation there is plenty of nearby cities that you could go to and have fun. No shopping centers or other attractions there, you would have to go off campus.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Boiling Springs, NC has 1 stoplight, and everything in town is shut down by 11 p.m. That should summarize how much there is to do in this town. Most people go to Charlotte to have any fun.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The town is small and the people are friendly. It is truly a college town.

College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I cannot accurately comment as I'm a graduate student and attend a branch campus.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Gardner-Webb is located in Boiling Springs, NC which is a small one stoplight town with very little to offer as far as attractions. If you go to school here you learn to make your own fun (game nights, watch movies, do scavenger hunts, etc.) The University is 10 minutes away from Shelby which has a few more things to offer and 15 minutes away from the Tanger Outlets in Gaffney, SC. Also, Student Activities does a good job of trying to provide something almost every weekend. But, it is still a small town. You don't go to school there for the busy city life.
