3 College Senior

Student Body: Many of the students at my school are concerned about making the grade needed to pass, or nervous about HESI's, or any number of scholastic or personal issues, most are friendly but others just would like to come and go without interruption.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I am still in the beginning of the process but it seems to me the education will be great, the process to register for classes etc have headache inducing kinks

3 College Junior

Career Services: I have never used this process but I hear that it is quite adverage

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is fairly expensive and only getting higher tuition wise but its acceptability of transfer courses and semester lay outs makes it a bit more worth it.

3 College Junior

Student Body: the students seem to bond in their individual classes based on the need to form study groups.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Very tough subject, very specific curriculums and program outlines, very little room for life outside of school

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: I rated "it's bad" purely for the registration process. The process used is paper based where you have to physically go down to the school put your first and second choices on a paper, and pray you get the ones you need. Being chosen for online courses or first choice classes is done through a lottery system so you have no guarantee till the last minute WHAT your schedule is going to be, which makes organizing a work schedule around classes very difficult.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Being that it is a college for nursing specifically there is not a lot of room for variety when it comes to courses, course times, and flexibility. The content is rigorous so the advisors and teachers are not very lenient.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: The class I took online was very organized and the instructor was always available and well informed on the subject.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The technology in the labs is pretty good, the building itself is shared with another business so parking is always an issue as well as outdoor space.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Campus is beautiful, building is shared with another business so parking is awkward.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The wireless speed is okay, the tech support though is WONDERFUL

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I signed up for evening classes mon-thurs. I am now being told I must attend on Friday evenings as well. I work full time and have a family(which I never see due to work and school) and without any notice or announcement from the administration we must attend on Fridays also. This is making many student lose jobs and money so they can provide for their families. The only way we found out was by looking In the calendar. This was poorly handled.

Student Body: There are always a few bad apples no matter where you go, but the overall student population is amazing. I have made some really great friends and I am very thankful for that

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love the school but the constant harassment from the registrars office and the expensive tuition with major extra out of pocket expenses have made me not want to bridge to RN at Galen, especially since it is only an ADN not BSN.

College Junior

Online Courses: At my current school I have not taken an online course yet

College Junior

Career Services: I have not looked into this yet

4 College Junior

Facilities: I like how you start clinicals in the first quarter. Yes you don't know much, but you get hands on experience which is great.

Campus Resources: What they have is great

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: This is a very fast paced program but it is worth it. The teachers are amazing and will help you however they can. The clinical sites have been great so far, I have really learned a lot.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The teachers are great. The registrars office is HORRIBLE. I have turned in my CPR card 5 times, and some shot records over 5 times and they seem to lose them every time. Then I get nasty emails saying I can't go to clinicals because I have paperwork that is missing. It is stress that I feel I do not need after getting everything finished on time.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very high but you do get a very good education. My only complain is, after spending over $18,000 in tuition, I had to spend over $1,000 in books, shots, and uniforms that were not covered in that initial tuition. I feel like at least the books and uniforms should be included in the very steep tuition. I am a mother of 2 and work full time, and now go to school part time. I live pay check to pay check and don't have an extra $1,000 in the bank.

5 College Junior

Facilities: We have a specific amount of space but for what we need, its fine.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Although there are 700+ Students in varying stages of the programs, they do their best to give us the classes we request.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Seems a little steep but I feel like I am getting my money's worth.
