Overall Experience: Career services are very helpful with helping finding a job while in school or after graduation. Several times a year job fairs are held for the students.

Overall Experience: Unlike other schools where there is a VERY long waiting list to get into nursing school this school starts a new program every 3 months. The registration process was not difficult and I appreciated the ability to start immediately in the nursing program. I plan to attend Galen College of Nursing to obtain my ADN.

Overall Experience: Every course is a little different because every professor is a little different and has different ways of teaching. The courses are difficult and the school works very hard to good quality staff and educational courses.

Career Services: There is a wonderful career services at our school. Several times a year the school holds job fairs and the career services department is always ready to help. I plan to get a job so that I can have some income but I will be going back in about 6 months towards an ADN.

Tuition & Financial Aid: This school is very expensive in my opinion but going through the financial aid process was not difficult. The school has nice classrooms, and nice labs for teaching. I haven't had a problem with financial aid but I to have as much as possible paid in scholarships to alleviate the financial burden once school is finished.

Academic Experience: This is an accelerated program with a classes that are set up. You do not choose what to take or when you take them. If you choose to go to school full time. The classes begin at 8am and end at 5pm everyday. There isn't "homework" that is expected to be turning in but reading, going over notes and what was taught that day is recommended. Every quarter you have a different clinical site that you attend. There are possibilities of getting a job at a site from communicating with the management staff.

Academic Experience: Galen College of Nursing only has nursing classes. There are LVN and ADN courses. Registration was not difficult, the professors are fantastic and are well educated. The workload is tuff but nursing school is suppose to be tough.

Student Body: At this school there is a diversity of cultures and ages of the people who are attending. Some students are fresh from high school, some like me are older have children and a previous career and wanted to go back to school. Some have retired from previous employment and want to come back for a different career. Due to the different subjects at the school related to nursing and the public there are discussions about diversity, working with other cultures and familiarizing yourself with cultures you are unfamiliar with.

Campus Resources: This school only teaches nursing. Not a typical university. There are no other majors, athletic department and very few campus activities. That being said it is well worth it to attend this school.

Academic Flexibility: The classes at Galen College of Nursing are set. When you attend part time or full time the classes are set up, there is no scheduling. Most people who attend the school have to work around the schedule if they work at all. This is an accelerated program and its been hard and stressful but VERY worthwhile. The LVN course is only 1 year. I would definitely recommend this school.

Academic Experience: My major is in Nursing. As a matter of fact, Nursing is the only Major this college teaches. This is what makes this college so great. They are dedicated in creating more nurses. The curriculum is not easy but Nursing should never be easy. It is a delicate subject and to create great nurses the instruction material must be thorough.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: This college only offers Nursing degrees. However they do teach prerequisites needed to complete the Associates Degree of Nursing. They also teach vocational nursing. Professors all have at least a Masters Degree. The registration process is easy.

Academic Flexibility: My experience at Galen College of Nursing has been exceptional. The admission staff guided me step by step with the admission process. They provided thorough information regarding the admission requirements, their curriculum, and tuition fees. I am enrolled in their hybrid online program. The classes are flexible with my life schedule. Instructors are polite and always available. The entire experience has been pleasant.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid person was very helpful in answering my questions and in telling me what exactly to expect. She made me feel like she was genuinely concerned and cared.

4 College Senior

Student Body: There is a sense of camaraderie amongst the student body. Very nice.

College Senior

Career Services: I have had no experience with Career Services, but do know that the Career Services person really cares about students and interacts with even new students to help them along the way.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: With my major at this school, I am able to perform hands on activities. The work may be intense but the outcome from it is definitely worth it. As far as job opportunities, I feel as though it would be too difficult to find an organization that will employ me

Academic Experience: The academics here are very well taught and prepares students for the working field

5 College Junior

Student Body: From what I have experienced, everyone seems very friendly and outgoing. The environment is calm and paced. The campus is easily accessible. I was very impressed

Campus Resources: This is a small school, and so if you choose "everyone knows your name". It is a non-residential type, and people come from many outlying areas. Therefore, campus life is restricted to classes, clinicals and the library. "Academic Programs" are mostly inflexible - if you do not transfer credits in you have a set course load with very little flexibility. This is, however, what most students here are seeking - if you are seeking something else, you are probably seeking a higher degree.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: There is a dedicated "Student Success Counselor" who assists struggling students in many ways - study skills, life skills, etc. There is a Mental Health Counselor available for students who is friendly and puts students at ease and is helpful for even minor problems. The librarians are above par and very interested in helping students in any way they can, and there is a career counselor who regularly communicates with even new students. Financial Aid counselors are limited in their ability to assist, hence the "minus" on the A.

3 College Senior

Student Body: This is a strictly nursing school, offering both a vocational certificate (LVN) and Associate's (ADN). It does not attract the same types of students that a 4 year college would attract. The student body is overwhelmingly adults who have been out of High School for 5 or more years (LVN) and nurses who want to further their career (ADN). Since it is an accelerated program, the dedication level is high (those who cannot devote the required dedication fail/drop out).

College Senior

Online Courses: Not all courses are offered online, only a select few of the general education courses. All nursing courses are on campus.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Have been very flexible with my work and family schedule....if I have any issues they are always there to help.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I do not curently take online classes. So i do not have a experience to share.
