3 College Sophomore

Transportation: one thing you need to know about the buses is that they will always be late in the afternoon

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There is really only the campus shuttle and it generally arrives at the same times and places parallel to the listed schedule. I don't know much about the taxi service. And there arent public busses.

3 College Freshman

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Since we're in the middle of no where, the trasportation is really good. The school sponsors a lot of trips to fun places and to get home. There are buses that will drive you really close to where ever you live, and you just have to be picked up from there. Also, on campus buses to get you to other parts of campus, like edgewood and the upper quad, is really good and free to students. You just have to know the bus schedule. It also can take you too the mall.

At Frostburg State, there are a lot of restaurants and stores on Main Street, such as 7-Eleven and J & S Pawn Shop, which you can access by foot. The walk is not too far from campus to Main Street. If you need to go to the Country Club Mall in LaVale, then the FSU Shuttle is a good option. There is a bus schedule at every bus stop on campus.

The only bad part about the shuttle, like any other bus service, is if you miss the bus, then you need to wait for the next one, plus you need to keep track of time so you don’t get stranded. If you don't want to use the shuttle, then make friends with someone who has a car on campus. There is a taxi service you can call, but there is no need when most of what you need is only between a 5- and 30-minute walk.

Did You Know?
Skateboards, bikes, and even just walking shoes are the best ways to get around campus and town. Since most things are within walking distance, a car is hardly needed. Besides, parking on Main Street is like parking in D.C. or Baltimore: dangerous.
