Nightlife: I don't go out to parties, so I don't know. From what I hear the party nightlife is pretty good.

The party scene on campus has calmed down a lot over the years. Every off-campus house used to have a party every night (especially on the weekends). But now, the cops have buckled down where, if there is a party, then it is not visible from outside. The cops are now allowed to break up a party that is going on outside if a cop sees a red plastic cup. Due to this new policy, a lot of students have taken to going to bars off campus. However, there are still parties that occur at off-campus houses. If you know the right people, then you can find a party easily if needed. But if you do not know the right people, then to the untrained eye, it would appear that there are no parties occurring.

The bars off campus are not overpriced and are very close to campus. Most of the bars are on Main Street, which is about a 10-minute walk from campus. The bars have either DJs or live music, depending on the night. Also, some bars, like Wild Things, have special evenings where there are certain deals going on. As per the students that do not drink, Wild Things and a few other bars offer food, as well. If your friends want to drink and you do not, then you can go with them, but you do not need to drink. The options are the mall or the bowling alley. Neither of these are within walking distance, but they are both only about a 10-minute drive away.
