4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I feel that policies are lenient enough to not inhibit student's desires to live the way they want. The rules aren't hard to abide by.

2 College Senior

Campus Strictness: The campus police are not very nice

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: not on campus tooo much but I do think things are kept fairly tight

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Campus strictness really depends on your professor or RA in your dorm. Some professors are very lenient when it comes to attendance or late work but some have zero tolerance and the same goes for RAs when it comes to noise violations and or alcohol.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: nothing to serious unless it pertains to legal matters then they are very strict

The RAs are usually pretty lenient, but they are strict when they need to be. The RAs are mainly there for guidance and to be there if something horrible happens. They are the people you go to if something in your room is broken or if something in the building needs fixing. They are not your parents. They usually leave you alone unless you are really doing something wrong. With many drunken students wandering the streets after parties, the campus police have become more active in patrolling at night. They were strict before, but in recent years, they have started breaking up parties a lot sooner. They also drive around the main “party” streets and actually stop students if they look really intoxicated. The police are trying to make the community safer, and so far, they have succeeded.

As per the dorm visitors, as long as your guest does not cause a lot of problems and makes his or her presence known all the time, you can have a guest over as often as you wish as long as your guest behaves. How many times you have a guest over also depends on your roommate. Always check with your roommate when you are considering having a guest stay overnight. This gives your guest a chance to find alternative sleeping arrangements, if need be.

Did You Know?
In 2011, a student died off campus. She was trying to break up a fight at a party, when she got stabbed to death. This is not meant to scare prospective students away, but they need to know that heavy drinking can cause serious problems, even death. The campus police are enforcing policies about parties and drinking. Be safe about your drinking.
