2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: It has been pretty bad lately, but it is starting to get better.

Campus Dining: Gano is ok. I only ate there on Sundays after church my second semester of my freshman year. Lions' Pride and Pizza Hut are good. The pizza can be a bit greasy at times though. KC's coffee shop is great!! This coming school year the students will be able to use their ID cards (Lion Bucks) at surrounding fast food restaurants to purchase food (including Taco Bell, McDonalds, Jack's Sweetly Ever After and a few others),

Campus Dining: the food in Wallace Gano, our cafeteria, is pretty good for the most part. It is buffet style and has many different dining options like a salad bar, a hot plate section, diner section, international foods section, deli section, pizza and pasta, and a granary section. we also have pizza hut express and the original burger company. Depending on what type of meal plan you have determines home much money your going to spend. if you live off campus you can not have a meal plan.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: Oh Gano, they're trying to please more people, giving us healthier options and more vegetarian options. Gano is the main cafeteria, Lion's Pride is a quicker to go place, then KC's is our coffee shop, which also has salads, smoothies, and cookies. If you buy a larger meal plan, it ends up saving you money if you eat all of your meals. But it's still cheaper to live off campus once you're a senior, have the option of not buying a meal plan, then paying for the meals with cash.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: If you want a place to eat on campus that is going to give you the same experience every time, go to Pizza Hut. Sadly the Sodexo dining experiences on campus can be great, but it is a hit-or-miss every day.

Freed-Hardeman has two major dining facilities. Wallace-Gano is the main cafeteria, and Lion's Pride (located on the ground floor of Wallace-Gano) is more of a fast food joint. Gano has been recently renovated, and the aesthetics are very pleasing; the lighting, tiles, and seats are completely brand-new. There are many more food options, including a '50s diner section where burgers are cooked, a salad bar, a pizza bar, a buffet-style line, and an international cuisine grill where many different types of food are prepared. Gano is also adding more vegetarian options to its menu, serving vegetarian burgers and other healthier choices. While the food is usually pretty good, the workers are sometimes rude and short with students, and there is not much day-to-day food variety.

Lion's Pride is where students go when they are looking for a quick meal. FHU recently added Pizza Hut to this establishment, with features like personal pan pizzas, breadsticks, cinnamon sticks, chocolate dunkers, and wings. There is also a burger/chicken restaurant that serves sandwiches, salads, and chicken strips. In addition to Wallace-Gano and Lion's Pride, KC's Coffeehouse provides supplementary meals, where students don't have to spend their own money and can use their meal plans or Lion Bucks (a reloadable account only usable at Lion's Pride or KC's). Students can buy fruit, salads, soups, sandwiches, coffees, teas, or parfaits—among many other different types of food.
