3 College Junior

Student Body: There is a lot of diversity at FCC. They are usually students that are trying to go the easier way by getting their basic courses at FCC, then they transfer. FCC students are not as involved with school spirit, or school events. I think that this doesn't happen due to the events that go on, they are not events that are for everyone. Usually, an event is targeted for a specific group. Clubs are available, but they are not as advertised as they should be.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Everyone accepts each other. You have some weird people there but they are good people

4 College Junior

Student Body: alot of diversity and ethnicity. For being a community college it is actually surprising how many foreign exchange students we currently have. Everywhere I go ill see one.

3 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: It is not the best. A lot of the students in my classes don't try and I feel are just there to get a degree. They aren't very driven and are immature. It is hard when there are people like me who are there to earn their degree and start their lives but then there are those who goof off in class making it hard to focus. But I guess that happens at every school.

4 College Junior

Student Body: The students all get along and work pretty well together.

Students at FCC are diverse, and the student body differs from one at a typical four-year college. Students young and old come together to further their education, and they don't necessarily come here for a degree. FCC offers certificates and other training, which makes it perfect for student workers already starting their career. Younger students tend to go for core requirement classes and transfer to a four-year college, while older students tend to get their associate degree and go from there.

Students come from many different backgrounds. The surrounding Frederick County high schools are all 'feeder schools' to FCC, bringing in students from varying locations. Some students are used to a rural setting, whereas others are comfortable in a more urban area.

Be prepared to learn about many different  cultures and ethnicities at FCC. Many students are from other countries and always have an interesting story to tell.
