2 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The strictness of the campus is very strict. But people who come here know that before they choose to go here.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics are fairly good. There are some really great teachers, and some terrible ones. It is not particularly challenging and is tailored to a middle class of academics.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors and registration process are all well set-up.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no greek life so there is nothing to review.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have received an internship position for this upcoming summer, but do not have one right now so I cannot review it.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have not participated in a program yet so I cannot review it.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The science facilities are up-to-date and pretty awesome. The business facilities are terrible.

Campus life is great if you're looking for a place with a vibrant Catholic faith community.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: If you find the right spots off campus, the dining is great. You just have to find the whole-in-the-wall places.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: It depends what you're looking for. There are no crazy parties here, but it's not what people attend the University for.

2 College Sophomore

Computers: There's one lab that is up-to-date, and it's the Mac lab, but that lab doesn't have a colored printer.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Housing on campus can be difficult to deal with, but as a freshman or sophomore, it's good to integrate you into college life. After that, you probably don't want to live in the dorms.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The campus dining is run by Sodexo, and for the money that we pay, it is alright, but overall, it is pretty bad.

The food doesn't taste good, the options are okay, and there is really not that much variety.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletic facilities were just upgraded in a $5 million project. Before this, they were terrible. Now it is equipped with state of the art workout technology and is regularly used by the majority of students.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The tuition is not too expensive to begin with, and the financial aid available for merit and need is also quite a bit comparative to the tuition expense.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Security is present, you see them walking around campus all the time. I have also seen them in action, and they know what they are doing.

Safety on campus is well monitored. Hardly anyone from in town comes up to campus to cause trouble and I have never seen any problems.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: -This is a christian environment, so it may seem strict to someone who is not a christian.

-The school allows people to drink alcohol if they are 21

-There is a curfew, but it is pretty late (I think it's like 2 am or something...sorry I am a commuter student so this may not be exactly accurate)

-Guys and Girls are not allowed in dorm rooms of the opposite sex after 10 pm...I think, but anyone can be in the dorm room lobby until the curfew

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Steubenville has a little bit of everything, such as fast food restaurants (Mcdonald's, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Subway, etc.); pizza places (Pizza hut, Dominoes, local restaurants); chinese restaurants, Applebee's, Damon's.....I could keep going. lol. :D

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: It is incredibly safe on campus, but the city of Steubenville (where the school is located) is not safe in some areas.

2 College Freshman

Diversity: -Franciscan is a catholic college, so nearly everyone attending the school is a catholic Caucasian. I am actually protestant, and I have found that people at the school are fairly accepting of others' differences. It is hard not to feel like a complete misfit sometimes though.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: -There are quite a few options for cheap off-campus housing, the only problem is that you need to be somewhat careful about where you choose to live. Some areas of Steubenville are safer than others. Franciscan is also pretty good about helping students find off-campus housing...but you are not allowed to be an off-campus student until you are a junior.

4 College Freshman

Computers: -There are quite a few computers available for use in the library, so it is not necessary to purchase your own computer.

-All students are provided with $25 in their student accounts to print papers, and each paper printed only costs 5 cents, so it is also not necessary for a student to bring their own printer.

-The wi-fi is not the best...it can be slow at times and there are certain spots (the library and the J.C. Williams center) where it works better.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Make sure you attempt to get financial aid from the school, because there is actually quite a bit available.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are some pretty attractive people on campus, but there are plenty more girls than guys at this school.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Im engaged with what I'm learning.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: there are a few restaurants with yummy food
