College Junior

Student Body: The student body is very diverse in age, culture, and skill sets. They all come from different walks of life and have varying backgrounds and experiences to share.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I have not utilized any of these services, so I do not feel it acceptable to rate them yet.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I am an online student and have not had to use any of these services, therefore I can't rate them yet.

College Junior

Career Services: Im unsure of post graduation services, from what I hear they are good, but I have no experience with them yet.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Education is very valuable, sometimes challenging. Id suggest applying for scholarships, without them I wouldnt have managed to stay in school

Student Body: FVTC isnt very diverse, partly due to the location, Northern Wisconsin is largely of German decent. There is a minority of Hispanic and Hmong people but probably less than 25%. People are fairly accepting of others though.

5 College Junior

Facilities: I came to FVTC for Law Enforcement, I wasnt disappointed, this is one of the best schools in the nation for Law Enforcement. Social scene is kinda non-existent, you have to make friends here or you will be a loner. Not a great assortment of clubs to choose from. No campus life, no dorms in Appleton that I know of.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: It's easy to choose what class times you want, as long as you register early enough. If you want all night classes you can, or early morning. The schedule is up to the student.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: A great majority of the teachers at FVTC are top notch. Most of them are still involved in their field of work in some way, or teach a subject that doesnt change drastically, like math.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Most professors are great, curriculum is mostly based on stuff you will actually need in your field. Class registration is easy, unfortunately the teacher is not always shown on the schedule but that doesn't bother me.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would choose the school again if I had to do it all over again because I know that I'm saving a lot of money but going to a technical college for my Associate's degree and still be able to transfer to get my Bachelor's degree.

College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't taken an online course yet.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Because my school is a technical school, they're very career oriented, and want to make sure that you land a job after graduation.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Foxx Valley Tech provides all the resources you might need to succeed, including computer labs, student centers, caf├ęs.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The campus is full of computer labs with easy access to the internet and printers. The internet is very reliable, as well as fast.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They have very flexible class times, I worked full time and went to evening classes. As for transferring credits I don't know quite yet, but I will find out after graduation.

5 College Junior

Student Body: I can really appreciate the diversity at my school, you have everyone from eighteen year old freshmen to forty-three year old parents with four kids and working full time and going to school.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm only a semester in and so far its pretty good, the work load is manageable and the teachers are really good at making sure you understand the material.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The majors they offer are very practical and prepare you for jobs that you could jump right intoafter graduation. Signing up for classes is very simple and easy.

5 College Junior

Career Services: FVTC is very connected with the community and they constantly are holding job fairs and other opportunities for students to start working with local businesses and possibly start a career with.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Prior to applying for financial aid, my Mom remarried and with the new income, I fell in that bracket where you're family makes just a little too much to qualify for grants, and it's still very hard to pay out of pocket. I didn't want to take out any loans, for fear of going into debt. My Mom understood why I chose not to accept the loans, from her past experiences. A scholarship of this amount would pay for more than half of a semester. And would be greatly appreciated.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Great program, the best in the area. The program offers the highest in technology for the program.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Some of the best college programs in my area. A lot of great teachers and course work.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: They are great and have everything I could be looking for. The "movie theater" is probably the best.
