Tips for Getting In
  • Apply yourself in high school and earn a high GPA.
  • Be honest about your achievements and about who you are in your essay.
  • Do well on your SATs or ACTs. Take them a few times if you have to in order to obtain the highest score possible.
  • Excel in a sport to gain recognition and possible scholarships.
  • Hold a leadership position for a club or team to demonstrate responsibility.
  • If Fordham visits your high school, attend the information session and speak to the admissions counselor making the presentation.
  • Make your application memorable by writing a unique essay that expresses your personality.
  • Showing commitment to one activity is better than joining 10 clubs during your junior year.
  • Take AP courses and score at least a 3 in as many as possible. It will help you get in and give you extra credits once you're in college.

Campus Tours
Campus tours of Rose Hill are given twice a day, Monday through Saturday, at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Campus tours of Lincoln Center are given every weekday at 12 p.m., and also at 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Click this link to register for upcoming tours at either campus:
Overnight Visits
Overnight visits are common among sports recruits only. Students with friends already attending the University can of course schedule visits with their friends to check out the social atmosphere.
