2 College Freshman

Facilities: It is a quiet, peaceful campus, so you can relax. There are many computers available, so you can study on campus. There is little or no campus life

2 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: International Students are not eligible for financial aid, even though they are the ones who really need it. I know for a fact that we are overpaying, since a lot of classes feel like self-study, we are told nothing about the resources and there are practically no events on campus...

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I cannot rate this aspect well, since i have not been able to take any of my major classes so far, because they overlapped with some mandatory classes I needed to take at first

2 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I will be honest, I am not happy with the homework. Not only are we expected to solve many-many problems, but there are also topics that were not covered in class! So it is a lot of self-study. Why am I even paying to take this in class if I am studying by myself?

3 College Freshman

Student Body: Most students are there to take their classes and go home, sadly

There are many international students, and any sexuality is accepted (it is actually Gay and Lesbian Heritage month right now)

2 College Freshman

Career Services: The only service i've heard about was a college work fair, but it was held for only 1 hour, during which I had class, so i could not attend

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: You can print about 5 pages a day if you are an international student for free. Also, if you are taking a math class, you have another 5 pages a day at the learning center. There are many places where you can use a computer (mostly Macs everywhere), WiFi is available, but not everywhere

2 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I would say it is bad.

First of all, even if there are some resources and events, most people do not know about them (mentioned before)

I really wish this campus was more lively, had more going on. I wish the clubs were better organized, and there were more clubs in general (most of the clubs right now are about being Asian, Indonesian, Spanish, etc.)

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: It was hard have the 12 units I need to stay in status. Also, i could not take the class I really wanted, because it had only 1 time, which overlapped with another mandatory class, which also had only 1 time available

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: If i could, i would rate it 3.5

The campus is very pretty, I just wish we had more place to sit comfortably on the grass in the shade. At most times the campus seems dead, because right after their classes end, people go home. They do not bother with any activities, clubs or such.Even though it's nice to have some peaceful moments, i do wish there was more action!

If you want to know anything that is happening in school, you have to search well yourself. Events and services are not promoted at all, so most people do not know about them. I did discover a few nice things, such as a pool party, a food bank, a writing center, but most other students have no idea this exists!

Sadly, Foothill does not provide it's students with housing, and it is quite difficult to find a nice place that is not too expensive.

Would I choose Foothill again? I am not sure. I would prefer a more lively campus.

Overall Experience: I would come to these schools a thousand times over. I'm convinced they are the best city colleges in the bay area and think everyone should see if it's right for them.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: De Anza has a nice system set up, but Foothill's is a bit old fashioned and can be troublesome to get used to

College Senior

Career Services: This is a community college, but they do a lot to help you transfer by holding transfer fairs with representatives from most schools

4 College Senior

Facilities: I love the rural areas such as the bamboo garden, and numerous fountains found on campus. Most of the campus is grass, making it a lovely place to study

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: In general, there are a lot of things available to you as a student in health services, the cafeteria, and so on. It is a beautiful campus as well.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The wifi isn't steady, and can't really be counted on.

4 College Senior

Student Body: People are nice, friendly, and eager to grow in the profession they love.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: There are a lot of options, and the teachers are always willing to work around the things that come up and prevent you from coming in for things

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: Foothill and De Anza provide a learning environment with instructors who are well worth the money. They are brilliant, and the smaller class sizes mean they have time to get back to your emails, and get to know you personally. The sister school program is also extremely door opening, as students get the opportunity to peruse courses from both campuses and get an even bigger choice of classes. Both campuses are beautiful, and have professors who definitely know what they are doing, and are experts at it.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The teachers are all over qualified. As are the advisors, I would not be able to graduate in time without my counsellor. The teachers often teach at other state or UC schools, making them a commodity in the community college system

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't ever seem to qualify for anything, although I have great need. The process of signing up is easy, and I know there is money out there but I never see any of it.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The professors are very knowledgable in their subject. They have great interest in it too. Most of them are fun and engaging.

5 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is truly the best. I paid around $50 for 5 classes (One is a PE) this quarter. On top of that i receive $1800 for financial aid grants. I use this for Gas, food, textbooks, etc. Definitely helps my educational process!

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: Its simple. They tell you to go on a website and do simple but interesting work online. Nothing out of the ordinary.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: Its a community college. Not much to expect. Most people come and go. However if YOU are outgoing, people are friendly and you can make friends. But you have to be the one doing all the work. Its uncommon for people to go up to you etc. You can find all types of people here, foreigners, geeks, nerds, party people, normal people, etc. A lot of attractive girls around.
