4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I don't do a lot of partying, but many students take time to have some fun on the weekends. Many fraternities and sororities have parties and many students choose to go the bars and clubs close to campus. A lot of students have fun at said bars and clubs.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: FSU is a big party school, but I am not really into that. For people that are, though, there's always going to be a party for you to go to.

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: While the parties are fun, people also take drinking seriously. The bouncers help keep everyone in line and remove people when they get too drunk.

College Junior

Nightlife: I don't attend parties, so I have no idea.

4 College Senior

Nightlife: There are a variety of places to go to and there is a school bus for night rides.

New arrivals to Florida State may be fooled into thinking that Tallahassee is a sleepy, Southern town, but the truth of the matter is that the nightlife here is alive and well. On any given night, you can have your choice of live music, dancing, and drink specials. The Greeks on campus have a reputation of throwing some of the best bashes, and the off-campus parties often wind up being large and loud. Most students will hang out on the Tennessee Street Strip, but bars and clubs surround the campus. Remember that this is a two-college town, so there are going to be some crazy parties to attend almost every weekend, whether they are FSU parties or not, and whether they on campus or off.

However, all this partying does bring some unwanted attention. The local police department recently established a "Party Patrol" that responds to complaints about off-campus parties and underage drinking, and the FSU police are fairly strict, as well. Because the students at FSU are so friendly and outgoing, you won't have to worry about being bored. There's always a good time to be found around every corner, just use common sense to stay safe and to not get caught.
