4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drug safety is well regulated

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: At most of the parties, there is alcohol present. Most off these parties are off campus.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Campus resources and FSUPD do their best to combat it, but drinking (especially underage drinking) is, I think, a relevant issue on and around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There is a drug scene at my school, like any other school has but if you have no desire to be a part of it then you don't have to be and you wouldn't feel like an outcast.

College Freshman

Drug Safety: FSU is one of the top party schools in the country, so it's expected that there is pressure to drink and do drugs. However, it does depend on who you hang out with and not everyone drinks and participates. It's pretty easy to get alcohol.

While illegal drugs are present on campus, they aren't highly visible, and most students don't pay much attention to them. Alcohol and marijuana are the drugs of choice, although harder stuff, like ecstasy and amphetamines are available if you know where to look. Although some hard drugs are present, serious abuse is not a problem here. FSU does have a student chapter of NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws), and we recently saw the first of what is planned to become an annual Hemp Fest held in Doak Campbell Stadium.

FSU has a very strict drug policy. However, the users and abusers tend to stay off the radar, so you won't hear much about arrests and expulsions. For the most part, the drug culture is quiet and secretive. People who want to be involved in it can find it on their own, while those who prefer to stay clean won't be tempted. Drugs aren't pushed on anyone, and no one will be forced to do them should they choose not to. It isn't as if dealers are vending their wares in the hallways.
