Majors: I am currently working an unpaid internship for the summer at a communications firm in Tallahassee. It is a political PR firm and it has been very interesting to be in the middle of such a busy office where so many important things happen. I particularly enjoy seeing how PR efforts really can make a change in the world as well as in public opinion. I work three days a week from 8-5 and I hope to continue interning during the school year.

Guys & Girls: Although this is not something that I choose to judge people on, we tend to have a pretty overall attractive student body at FSU. Greek life is one of the bigger interests on campus and there are many other amazing on campus organizations that people choose to be a part of as well. A good portion of the students enjoy going out to the bars around Tallahassee, but those people also spend a whole lot of time in the library as well.

Athletics: We have a national championship winning football team and our other teams also perform incredibly. Students live for football season especially, but attend other games as well and incorporate it into other parts of student life. Athletics are a big part of the tradition at FSU so students and alumni are all extremely involved and the school spirit is at the top of the charts.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: The school is very co-ed. Due to the hot and dry weather many people dress is tank tops and shorts. it is a fashion forward school.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: The freshman dorms are not suitable to live in. It is better and cheaper to live off-campus.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is not needed because the school has many restaurants.

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is usually cheaper yet resembles the same qualities of having a roommate. Therefore, one can enjoy the company of others rather than living in a apartment alone.

Majors: Sociology was the easiest major to get into. My plan was to ace my undegrad and get into graduate school no problem. However, nursing is my calling.

Majors: I wish I picked another major. Which is why i am going back to school for Nursing.

Guys & Girls: Hottest students hands down! Hard to find a man thats wants a relationship though.

Academics: Being a sociology major I really enjoyed the variety of classes that were offered. My favorite class was sociology of Hip hop; however the curriculum could have been more vigorous. I feel FSU needs to push and assist with sociology internships because they are nearly impossible. Due to lack of jobs with my major i am going back to school to pursue nursing!

Academics: The registration process is a piece of cake. Many advisors to help with fitting you in and creating the perfect schedule. The workload with my major was very easy.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: FSU is a very diverse campus. You can find people from any part of the world. I love it.

Athletics: We have incredible school spirit. We love our athletes and team performance is great. The athletic facilities are all pretty good but I do think the Leach gym needs a few renovations.

Off-Campus Housing: There are beautiful/convenient off-campus housing options put they can be very expensive. the closer you want to be to campus the more expensive it is.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There is a drug scene at my school, like any other school has but if you have no desire to be a part of it then you don't have to be and you wouldn't feel like an outcast.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
