4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There is a variety of off-campus housing options that are close to the campus. The prices vary but at least you will get your freedom.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: School policies are strictly enforced to keep everyone safe. You can always find a police to help you or come to the rescue. If a policy is broken, the consequences will be enforced without an warning.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: FSU is like a home away from home. Everyone is friendly and are willing to help each other. There is always a party or event going on so you will never be bored. The guys are all cute in their own way but focus on their schoolwork most of time. You will see more guys at the library than at the gym. FSU also has the prettiest and smartest girls around, and they all love to party.

Campus Strictness: The campus is strict about certain thing but they aren't on other things. They are very strict about parking, they will give you tickets for everything but no so much on drinking. they are strict about noice only during exam week any other time usually the RA doesn't care and you can do whatever

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: LIving on campus is great for freshman beaucse it helps you meet more people and get more involved on campus. the dorms are nice most of the time. The dorms are expense and the dinning hall do get old but it is a great idea for freshman

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere of the town is good there are plenty of things to do with the capital being right down the street. We have a mall and plenty of food but the town isn't very safe beaucse of the culture of talllahsee

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The best place to relax and meet new people is on Landis. There are so many relaxing activities that happen on Landis. People come out and sit, study, dance, just have a good time with friends.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Hey, you're in Florida. For the most part it is sunny and warm. Some hot days. During hurricane season, expect it to rain when you least expect it.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: Garage parking spaces fill up quickly. This happens all the time. Especially in garages near where you may live. Game day parking is very hectic. You can get around on the transit. You are paying for this service whether you use it or not.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are so many activities to do on campus. You just have to go out there and get involved.

5 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: Mostly everyone is outgoing and into something that you're into as well. There is a huge crowd of different people because the school is so big but at times can seem very small.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: There's not too much shopping, but a lot of sports to be involved in through FSU intramurals or friends. There's food truck thursdays and First Fridays with music, drinks and shows every month. There are concerts every month, student discounts just about everywhere and the night life is amazing! The Rez is also a unique place: a huge lake where you can rent canoes and kayaks for free with student ID's, rock climb, sun bathe, etc.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The taxis are only $4 after 2am so you'll never have to go home with someone who could be drinking and driving. There's the night nole, a campus bus and many other ranges of transportation.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Its beyond beautiful. The dorms are average and if you want to live on campus you should pay the housing fees the day you get accepted because its rated by priority number.

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Everyone here is attractive whether it be through looks, academic achievements or just personality.

3 College Junior

Weather: Although FSU is located in the Sunshine State, daily showers are expected during the summer months.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It is somewhat a hassle to deal with financial aid, but once you've filled out the needed forms you won't have to worry about it until the next year.

5 College Junior

Nightlife: I have absolutely no complaints about the Nightlife at FSU.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Campus PD are always present and patrolling campus. Also, there are stations everywhere on campus in case of emergency.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Very bipolar weather here, can be very cold one day then the next it can be extremely hot

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is huge, if you are interested in doing it then go for it!!

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Florida State is a good looking school. No matter where you go there is always some eye candy. Some times I would go to the library to study just because those cute boys were good motivation.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Its dark on campus and there are lots of bushes. But I mainly took the safe bus at night which was a relief to have.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: I didn't really use computers on campus regularly, I bro ught my own laptop. If I had any issues with my laptop they easily helped my. Printing was very costly at all of the printing stations on campus, I ended up buying a printer to save money!

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It is very hard to be determined to go to class when it is pouring down rain and half the campus is flooded. If I wanted to go to the swamp, I would have gone to UF.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
