Scholarships: Personally there wasn't as much financial aid as I would have hoped for those who just need a little extra something. For those who need financial support the financial aid process can go anywhere from being a walk in the park to being a complete nightmare. My advice is to keep on top of them when needed and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Guys & Girls: Diverse and interesting! From cross dressers to hijabs, the people here have it all!

Campus Housing: Housing is one of the biggest issues at FSU, it is over crowded.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The dining at florida state is not so good, except for breakfast.

5 College Junior

Athletics: The sports team are average at florida state university.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The campus is pretty strict and takes security issues very serious.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Trasportation at Florida State University is subpar.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The dining halls are awful. It is cafeteria food and sometimes has its moments but you cannot really expect too much. The restaurants on campus aren't exactly great either but it's better than eating at the dining halls. If you don't have to get a meal plan I would recommend not getting one and cooking in your dorm, it saves a lot of money. Unless you just want to suck it up and eat bad food.

Academics: My major is biological sciences. I've been very satisfied with my advisors and all of the counsel they have given me. But it is because of the honors program that I really feel is giving me the most for my education. I am involved in research and have better networking because of the opportunities that honors has given me.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: honors classes allow for better one on one teaching. The class sizes are small and every teacher I have had has cared if I passed or failed.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: I've seen a lot of diversity nothing too extreme but a lot more diverse than my highschool.

5 College Sophomore

Transportation: There are bus routes all over campus. There are also bike racks everywhere. I drive and there is limited parking, not too bad.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There is a variety of off-campus housing options that are close to the campus. The prices vary but at least you will get your freedom.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: School policies are strictly enforced to keep everyone safe. You can always find a police to help you or come to the rescue. If a policy is broken, the consequences will be enforced without an warning.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: FSU is like a home away from home. Everyone is friendly and are willing to help each other. There is always a party or event going on so you will never be bored. The guys are all cute in their own way but focus on their schoolwork most of time. You will see more guys at the library than at the gym. FSU also has the prettiest and smartest girls around, and they all love to party.

Campus Strictness: The campus is strict about certain thing but they aren't on other things. They are very strict about parking, they will give you tickets for everything but no so much on drinking. they are strict about noice only during exam week any other time usually the RA doesn't care and you can do whatever

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: LIving on campus is great for freshman beaucse it helps you meet more people and get more involved on campus. the dorms are nice most of the time. The dorms are expense and the dinning hall do get old but it is a great idea for freshman

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere of the town is good there are plenty of things to do with the capital being right down the street. We have a mall and plenty of food but the town isn't very safe beaucse of the culture of talllahsee

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The best place to relax and meet new people is on Landis. There are so many relaxing activities that happen on Landis. People come out and sit, study, dance, just have a good time with friends.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Hey, you're in Florida. For the most part it is sunny and warm. Some hot days. During hurricane season, expect it to rain when you least expect it.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: Garage parking spaces fill up quickly. This happens all the time. Especially in garages near where you may live. Game day parking is very hectic. You can get around on the transit. You are paying for this service whether you use it or not.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are so many activities to do on campus. You just have to go out there and get involved.

5 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: Mostly everyone is outgoing and into something that you're into as well. There is a huge crowd of different people because the school is so big but at times can seem very small.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: There's not too much shopping, but a lot of sports to be involved in through FSU intramurals or friends. There's food truck thursdays and First Fridays with music, drinks and shows every month. There are concerts every month, student discounts just about everywhere and the night life is amazing! The Rez is also a unique place: a huge lake where you can rent canoes and kayaks for free with student ID's, rock climb, sun bathe, etc.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The taxis are only $4 after 2am so you'll never have to go home with someone who could be drinking and driving. There's the night nole, a campus bus and many other ranges of transportation.

You would be hard-pressed to find a graduate of Florida State University who doesn’t have fond memories of the years they spent on campus. Current students will also agree that they are happy with their decision to attend school here. There is something for everyone, from athletics to academia, and you would have a hard time finding a more comfortable setting than Tallahassee. It has so much to offer, from exciting nightlife to beautiful weather.

Although it bears the reputation of a party school, FSU also has a growing reputation for turning out some of the best and brightest graduates in the entire nation. The school is now turning its focus on research, which should appeal to those interested in science and mathematics. But never fear, FSU also emphasizes the arts through their award-winning film and theater departments. From math and science, to the arts, FSU offers a vast array of eclectic degrees, which will be nothing but helpful later in your life. Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, but if you’re looking for the perfect combination of a good education and a good time, you can’t do much better than Florida State University.
